Clicky Poll Part I

Remember the days when you daydreamed about meeting prince charming, the family you would have and the happy ever after? In those days, did you think about how many children you'd have? Has that number changed? I know that life interferes with plans but i was curious as to how many children you ladies are planning to have - Click away![Poll]

  • I would like 4 but it will depend on finances.

  • I guess I'm a special snow-flake. At least 2, and then after #2 we'll see how we feel about adding one more.

  • my ideal would be four which is what i voted for  but it will depend on finances and what not... at least 2 though...
  • I would love 3 (as DH had in his family) but we know Kids are expensive and want to be able to provide for them the very best we can. We plan on having 2 and if finances still allow we will go for #3
  • We always said we wanted 5.  We are both only children and want to create our own big family.  It will all depend on how this pregnancy goes for me and our finances, though.  We would be happy with 3.

  • At this point in my life, I picked one, though DH wants 3. I really want to take it one at a time, so in 2 years or so, we'll see how we feel.

  • i had always said i wanted two but then after DD i thought three might be nice. I'll still hoping for three if we can afford it. But i guess it really depends on how things go with LO#2

  • I always said none because I was scared to death of childbirth and not so much into boys that I actually thought I'd get married. Babies always liked me though, so I have softened up.

DH wants at least 3. He was an only child, so I can humor him with 2, but then we'll have to have a serious talk.

  • Three. I grew up in a family of 5 and it's just too many kids. We all felt like we were fighting for attention. My husband grew up with only one brother, and I feel like there aren't enough people around during family dinners, etc. So 3... that's our magic number! :)
  • Growing up, I always knew I wanted one, maybe 2. Having 4 was not in my plans, but as my life changed, so did my thoughts on having more children. This will definitely be the last, though!

  • 3 is our magic number! Unless we end up having 3 girls...then #4 is a possibility. ;)
  • I used to want a lot of kids, 5-6, but this pregnancy has been so tough on me already that we'll probably end up with two, since there is no way I want my baby to grow up as an only child. I just don't know if I want to put my body through this more than twice, and it may seem selfish, and I'm not meaning to be, it's just that I already have fibromyalgia and my body already has a hard enough time...but with all that said, we'll keep our hearts open and we'll see what life throws at us. We feel blessed to have this little baby coming into our family and can't wait to met him or her!!!! I just need him or her to stop hating me so much! Huh?

  • I would love to have 3 kids.  I will take whatever God has in store for DH and I. We are so blessed to be pregnant.  Right now, we are focusing on the healthy delivery and birth of this LO.  Any more children thereafter is just another blessing.

  • Being my first pregnancy - I want four.  Always have.  I think I will be reasonable and have three, but definitely two.  We'll see what happens in the future.

  • If we're lucky enough to have two, we will be thrilled.  We wouldn't really even consider having a third.  I expect and hope that H will go in for a vasectomy very soon after #2 arrives, honestly.

  • 2. I love all of my 4 siblings, but life was definitely stressful financially and I want a more secure life than what my parents had.
  • I knew I wanted at least 2. Because of our religious beliefs, we use Natural Family Planning but only to postpone pregnancy, not to avoid indefinitely. We believe in being open to pregnancy but using the natural fertility signs God gives us to determine fertile time and decide together and with prayer if we wish to abstain during that time or not. So far, we've had no need to postpone or try to avoid pregnancy for any reason. There will be more discerning after number 2 comes, although I expect there to be more babies along the way eventually. We plan on taking one at a time and we don't have a set number or a limit. :)

  • Definitely two...then we will have to take a look at our finances and decide if #3 is a possibility.  No more than three though!
