Pregnant after a Loss

BFP but difficult feeling excited....

We had a loss 2 cycles ago and I got my BFP this weekend.  Confirmed with a digital but still have a hard time believing this one will stick.  I am 14 DPO today (just 4 weeks along) so I know it is super early.  I haven't even told DH yet.

I have cramps, which I know are totally normal, but every time I use the bathroom I am just waiting to see spotting or something.

When did you start to feel secure in knowing the pregnancy was ok?  DId you go and get betas?  Not sure what to do/when to tell etc.

Thanks

  • You're not alone!! I posted about this below ("Early pg girls"). I've been having a rough time too, sort of just waiting for the next shoe to drop. Some days are better than others. Sending you hugs.

  • I've asked the same question.  Everyone says when you deliver a healthy baby!  EEEK!

I'm only 6 weeks or so.  Can't be another 34 weeks of worrying. Take a breath and remember you love this baby today!

  • Congrats on your BFP! As soon as I got mine, I called my ob and made an appointment for beta draws. I had two done and then had my first u/s at 7 weeks.

Unfortunately, I doubt I'll feel secure in the pregnancy until I at least reach viability. But that's just my personal paranoia. I hope all goes well and you have a wonderfully uneventful 9 mos!
