I feel like I'm manifesting phantom symptoms in DS. But I just can't tell what's going on with him. If you're DC had RSV, what kind of symptoms did they have?
He's got a fever. Not too high (100.4), and it goes down with Tylenol. But even with meds, he has a fever (99.5 with meds). His nose is really stuffy, and snotty (mostly clear and yellow). He's got a dry cough, and when he cries he sounds hoarse.
I'm really thinking it's just a cold. But of course, I would have bet $10 that he didn't have an ear infection 2 weeks ago, and it turned out to be a double ear infection. So all I can think of is what if it's RSV? And of course I feel like I call the Pedi if DS looks at me funny. So I'm trying to just manage his symptoms right now, and avoid having to call.
Re: Those who've dealt with RSV, what were the symptoms?
I'm glad you posted this. This is exactly what Sam sounds like right now. We called the pedi and they basically said the same thing. Sounds like a virus, look for labored breathing, flared nostrils, sucking in around the ribs, etc.
I will be thinking about your boy and my own and hoping all of us are past this soon.
