I think I have decided that this is what is wrong with me. For the past 3-4 days I have had increasing pain in my symphysis pubis - it literally felt like it cracked in half. For most of the day today I haven't been able to move without severe pain. I am walking like I just got off of a horse and getting up from lying down makes me want to scream.
I'm literally in tears here. I can't take this much longer.
Re: Symphysis pubis dysfunction anyone?
Well, it's good to know I'm not alone. I feel so sorry for you ladies that have been dealing with this for a while.
My MWs started having me do squats a few weeks ago and I feel like that is when all of the pain started. I think I must have gotten something out of alignment. They also have me rolling my hips of the exercise ball, but I think that also aggravated things. I can't do it anymore because I can't get off of the ball without nearly falling over.
I never had this with my other two pregnancies. I think that the amount of lifting and the time I spend on my feet taking care of two 30 pound toddlers is taking it's toll. I just pray I can have this baby soon to get some relief.
This EXACTLY! And I may add that puking this evening was torture. The squatting on the floor in front of the toilet was excruciating and getting up was even worse. I will puke in the garbage can next time! Hopefully there isn't a next time!
Sounds like that's exactly what you have. I feel your pain. It's brutal trying to get up out of bed, roll over, put on pants/socks/shoes. I'm happy to hear from other posters that this will likely disappear soon after our babies get here!!
Hope everyone gets feeling better.
Last pregnancy I didn't get this until 31 or so weeks but this time it started around 20. I can hardly walk. I'm in so much pain that it makes me literally cry some days. Rolling, moving, getting dressed, getting up and down from my work chair are all super painful. On top of the SPD my doctor thinks my ligaments are also being affected which makes it even worse.
I'm so sorry for your pain. Baths, physical therapy, "keep your legs close together" etc are what my doctor has told me. Tylenol doesn't touch the pain for me, but I hope something works for you. I know it sucks so I hope your LO comes quickly. Mine went away right after with my son but my doctor said if it sticks around they can do physical therapy then as well.
I was suspected and sent to physical therapy - instead I have hyper-mobility and Sacroiliac joint dysfunction.
Especially for you girls that had something start the pain, ask for a referral to PT! I still have a LOT of pain, but it's nothing like it was - not to mention, I get relief twice a week. It doesn't last too long, but any little bit helps!
And PT also includes a nice long massage...
Luckily my DH is a PT, but he has never dealt with this before in a pregnant woman. He checked with some coworkers today and got some advice and is going to start working with me tonight.
Thanks for all of the advice, ladies
