She was in NB for 5 weeks and was 7 lb 15 oz and 20 inches at birth. I didn't think she'd be in NB at all, but she swam in 0-3 even at the 5 week point, but just couldn't fit in her sleepers any longer.
All NB clothes (0-3 were mostly too big) with the exception of socks. DS got his great-grandfather's freakishly thin/long feet, so even 0-3 socks will barely stay on.

She was born 6lb13oz and she's in NB only b/c I didn't think to even buy premie. She's swimming in most of her clothes but I'm not gonna spend the money on clothes she will only wear for MAYBE a couple weeks.

Caison was 6lb 14oz and came home at 6lb 1oz. Every one told us not to buy a lot of NB since he may be to big to even fit in it. We had 2 pairs of PJs and nothing else. Lots of 0-3. Needless to say, we had to go shopping. He is 3 months and still doesnt fit very well in 0-3 but NB is too short. He is a string bean!
He was 6 lb 6 oz when he was born and newborn clothes were pretty big. He's now 9 lbs at 7 weeks and we've pretty much transitioned to 0-3 month clothes--they are a little big but the newborn stuff is too small.
DS was 6lb4oz at birth and went down to 5lb9oz by the time we went home from the hospital. He was in newborn for about 7 weeks. We didn't bother buying preemie either, but he probably could have used them.
DS was 5lbs 12oz when left we left the hospital(born at 37weeks). His newborn clothes swamped him and it would have been nice to have clothes that fit him. Finally at 3 weeks he starting to fill out the newborn clothes better.
Xander came home at 5lbs 6oz and the NB stuff was way too big for the most part. The preemie clothes would have fit him good if he wasn't as long as a full term baby. WE had a few preemie outfits that were bought as gifts after he was born but for the most part he is in NB. I think he is getting to be about 8lbs and they are fitting him good but he is a little long for them.

LO was 9 lbs 10 oz at birth and 8 lbs 12 oz at his lowest, so he went right into 0-3 months. I knew I wasn't having a small baby, so I didn't have any NB stuff at all.
He was just under 8lbs at birth. I'm sure he could have fit in NB stuff, but we didn't have any. He seemed to wear 0-3 stuff fine, so I didn't bother going out and buying any NB stuff.
DS was 8lbs 11oz and only fit in newborn for a couple days, and that's only because I had some really cute NB outfits I wanted pictures of him in. He's been in 0-3 ever since.
DD was 5lbs 15oz at birth. Newborn sizes were too big for her then, but we just dealt with things being big, we didn't worry about buying preemie sizes because we figured she'd just outgrow it quickly. She's still in newborn sizes at 8 weeks old - 0-3 mos. clothing is still really big on her!
Lilly just grew out of her NB clothes at about 3 weeks. She is too tall for them (especially the footed sleepers), but otherwise would still fit. She was 8lbs, 3oz and 20 1/4 inches at birth.
DS was 8 lbs 15 oz at birth and wore NB for 2 weeks. Id say go to Walmart or a consignment shop and pick up a few cheap sleepers to have on hand just in case.
DS wore NB, and still can. He actually wore the sleeper he came home from the hospital in last night. Sad He was 7 lbs 14 oz at birthday, weighs 10lbs 9 oz now.
A was 7 lbs 4 oz and was wearing NB clothes when he came home. He's just now starting to be able to wear some 0 - 3. NB clothes are still fitting his skinny body, but he's tall so he's grown out of most things in the length.
LO was 7lbs 12 oz and 19.5 inches at birth. She was in NB for around 4-6 weeks. We hardly used newborn sleepers though, and we just went straight to 0-3... now at 2 mos, we're using 3-6. I think some of them shrink or maybe they appear so bc the baby is getting longer... IDK lol. NB dresses fit her well though. If I could do it all over, I would just skip to 0-3 months esp since I bought most of her clothes after the 35 weeks, so I knew she wouldn't be super tiny.

DD was 9lbs 6oz at birth, so she wore 0-3 right from the hospital. I had to return all the NB clothes we were given at the shower.

DS was 10lbs, never fit in NB clothes.
DD was a little under 8lbs and was in NB clothes until 6 weeks. She started actually fitting in 0-3 without them being huge at around 4 weeks.
