Does your LO cry EVERY night when going to bed?

Ugh. DD only screams/cries for a few mins, worst case 5 mins. But then usually plays and goes to sleep or goes to sleep. But she ALWAYS screams bloody murder right when I lay her down and walk out of the room. I DREAD putting her to bed. This has been going on for weeks, and I just want it to get better.......

does it get better? Crying

  • DD doesn't scream, but 9 times out of 10 she does fuss and squirm around until she finds her thumb. Then she sucks herself to sleep usually.

  • Mine doesn't cry at all normally. She sucks on her soother and watches her ocean wonders untill she falls asleep. Quite often about 30 mins after she falls asleep she starts screaming bloody murder while sleeping and Ihave to go in and rub her head or belly until she stops (only a few minutes) but very odd.

  • We have a screamer here.  For naps and bed.  As soon as I start to lower him into the crib he starts.

  • LO will scream every once if it's been a stressful evening but mostly cries for a few minutes, come down to a whimper and then fall asleep.

  • DS#1 did this.  Every night.  When I knew he was tired/it was time for bed, I always put him in his crib, shut the door and he'd cry for no more than a few minutes and then be OUT!

DS#2 actually smiles and is really happy when I put him to bed (most of the time).  I think he'd excited because I figured out what he wants?? LOL.

  • DD screams as soon as I place her on the changing table at night--not the rest of the times, just then!  When I put her in her crib she lets out a loud wail and then settles into a regular cry for a few minutes until she falls asleep.

  • My little guy typically "talks" and babbles after I put him down.  The only time he screams is if he had a long day and he is super tired, he will scream for a min or two and then just pass out.

  • DD cried/screamed for close to an hour when we first started putting her in the crib (before that we co-slept).  It took maybe 2 weeks for her to get used to it.  Now she might cry for a minute but usually falls asleep pretty quick.  It will get better!
