I am doing my baby registry right now and besides all the common things what are items that you wish you would registered for or are so happy that you have right now?

Thanks! This was really helpful. I keep finding things that I didn't even think of.
Sure thing. I'm going to post a 2 month edition of my favorite things shortly. It will include a Soother (I love the Rainforest Fisher Price one), Sleep Sheep, WubbaNub, Bouncer, Swing, Gerber birdseye prefold cloth diapers (to be used as burp cloths), a Boppy (for baby to lounge in), and a hands free pumping bra.
Extras of everything linen related. I've found having everything in triplicate is really the way to go, that way, there's one in the laundry, one clean one on the item, and a third for when she inevitably befouls the clean one before the one in the laundry is dry. This goes for boppy covers, sheets, mattress pads...
The Itzbeen. I couldn't live without it since my ability to recall when exactly I last fed her or changed her is limited at best.
These are the things we have actually used in month 1:
Pack N Play with newborn napper and changing station
4 Cotton Halo sleep sacks
4 Cotton swaddle me's
happiest baby on the block dvd
1 pack of aden & anais swaddle blankets
4 boxes of avent 0-3 month pacifiers (they constantly disappear)
fisher price little lamb cradle swing
fisher price rock n play for sleeping at night (he hated the bassinet)
graco snugride 35 carseat
bugaboo cameleon stoller with graco carseat adapter
lots of newborn size socks and hats
2 packs of newborn long sleeve onesies (Carters brand are the best IMO), pants, and a few sweaters
2 packs of short sleeve newborn onesies
1 heavier jacket for going outside and at night
California baby lavender bodywash & shampoo
California baby sensitive lavender everyday lotion
2 packs of Dr Browns BPA free bottles
Medela freestyle pump with extra accessories and hands free pumping bra
lansinoh lanolin and disposable breast pads
1 pack hooded baby towels
2 packs baby washcloths
baby bath tub
boppy- dont like for breastfeeding but baby loves to sit in it and look around
4 packs of receiving blankets for spit up, burping, etc. We hated the cloth diaper kind they washed terrible and are very thin.
Ergo baby carrier with infant insert
gripe water and mylicon for baby gas. (Myylicon is much easier to give baby and works better IMO)
Diaper Champ (you can use any brand trash bag inside you dont need to buy special inserts for it)
2 Carters 'keep me dry' bassinet pads
1 large 512 count box of Pampers sensitive thick wipes
About 350 newborn size diapers (born at 6lbs, and 8 pounds at 1 month old)- We like 7th Generation Diapers & Pampers sensitive swaddlers Diapers w/o drymax. Huggies all leaked for our LO.
A few things I wished we had registered for were a Moby wrap, a good carrier ( I ended up buying an Ergo myself) and some more breast feeding "accessories" - like extra bottle nippes, milk storage bags and disposable nursing pads
I agree with the breastfeeding accessories- especially breast milk storage bags and the hands free pumping bra. Oh, Lanolin! I had to go out and get it right after DD was born.
Re: Baby Registry
I just posted this in another thread but it really applies here, too. Most of these were not on my registry, but I wish they had been!
