Gray hair

in TTC After a Loss
Since my losses I have noticed TONS of gray hairs.  I have had a few before, but none that were noticeable.  Yesterday, I put my hair up in a ponytail, and there were a dozen or so right in front.  I don't know if it's related to hormone changes from the losses or if I'm just getting old.  Either way, I'm not a fan!

    I've noticed more and more popping up on my head too!  I think it has to do with stress, lots and lots of stress (from the m/c process), coupled with the aging process.  I have super dark hair, so they are very noticeable.  Not a fan, either. *sigh*

    I know what you mean...I found 2 gray hairs...they stand out sooo much since I have dark hair!  Booo!

    Yes, it is a super stressful process.  I am sure that has something to do with it.  My hair is dark, too.  This is just one more craptastic side effect!

    Funny timing - I've just noticed the same thing. Talked to my hair stylist yesterday. She said it's the stress. Also, the amount of growth I've had (it usually grows fast, but this was ridiculous) she said was stress, as well.

    I'm in a similar boat! I have fairly light hair but still started noticing some right up front too about 10 months ago now. I think it is 100% related to the stress of this last year. I only count about 5 of them but they all grow right up in the front of my head. I feel like everyone can see them so I yank them out!

    Neither of my parents have any gray and they are both in their sixties so I just can't imagine that this is "normal" for me or related to getting older!

    BFP #1: 12/2009 m/c 1/2010 BFP #2: 6/2010 m/c 8/2010

    BFP #3: 10/2011 ectopic 11/2011 (right tube removed, learned left tube was probably nonfunctional due to scar tissue from infection after m/c)

    3 failed IUIs, IVF #1: 18R, 12M, 10F, 3 poor quality 5d embryos transferred= BFP #4!!!!!

    Betas: 9dp5dt: 64 ~14dp5dt: 91 (expecting miscarriage, doubling time of 236 hours) ~16dp5dt: 200~18dp5dt: 500

    First Ultrasound at 6w2d revealed two sacs, only one with a heartbeat

    LK arrived after 42 weeks on August 14, 2013! Beautiful, healthy, and happy!

    TTC#2: IVF booked for April 2015

    Surprise BFP#5 February 19, 2015 EDD: November 2, 2015

    Betas: 10dpo: 10, 14dpo: 77, 17dpo: 270

    First Ultrasound at 5w1d showed a miracle UTE baby! And right ovary ovulation to left fallopian tube.

    JD arrived at 38 weeks on October 20, 2015.

    TTC #3: Since October 2017. BFP #6 July 2, 2018 EDD: March 16, 2019 [/spoiler]

    The grays I had before were all in the middle of my very thick hair, so they didn't show.  I just saw them when I pulled up part of my hair to fix it.  Now, the new ones are all up front like you've all described.  I may start dyeing my hair, but I am horrible with upkeep.  My hair has grown faster too.  That's interesting!  My mom's hair is totally gray (though she doesn't let that be known and dyes it religiously!), so I have genes against me too.

    Yup, I've got the beginnings of a nice white streak at my right temple. Its not too noticeable until I put it in a ponytail and yeah then its quite obvious. Mine is genetic though, my mom was white by 40 so yeah... I'm screwed. I do think its gotten worse since the losses, but then again I used to pull them out. My appearance isn't my first priority these days... oops!

    i have TONS, im 31 but i've had them since i was 25.  my mom would go through and pluck them out for me.  i have very dark hair so they really show up.  i have started using box color so i can control the gray showadge.  i probably dye my hair every 4 weeks - just the roots though.  they are annoying but whatever, i've accepted them.

    Me too :( 

    I've been trying a 'green' way of controling them but the last time I used henna to dye my hair it didn't really take.  I'm going to try a new batch.  (& it makes me crazy that DH doesn't seem to care)

    I have tons too.  I had a good bit before...but now it's just ridiculous!!!

    GEAUX TIGERS!!!

    1st pregnancy: BFP- 6/28/09 - Found out we lost our little girl on 10/9/09 at 19w 4d - D&E- 10/14/09

    June 2010, corrective surgery for Septate Uterus and large fibroids

    2nd pregnancy: BFP- 10/18/10 - Slow rising, non-doubling HCGs, no heart beat. Non-viable pregnancy, D&C- 11/12/10

    Started Metformin 6/30/11, Started Clomid 7/20/11 - Unsuccessful

    HSG and Laparoscopic surgery revealed blocked tubes and lots of scar tissue...IVF here we come!!!

    Surprise BFP naturally!!! IT'S A BOY!!!
