Well THAT didn't work!

This weekend we are at home with the ILs instead of the "lovely" dorm apartment. At 4, during Sully's wakeful period they offered to take him and give him some of my pumped milk so we could get some sleep. After listening to my poor boy cry for an hour he is happy  to be back at the breast; he stopped crying the instant I picked him up.  Clearly he was not a fan of that plan! 1ht

  • Awe, poor little guy and mommy. Glad he is happy again!

  • :( Maybe you should try a different type of bottle nipple? My LO really likes the Soothie bottles because of the way the nipple is shaped. The Medela nipples are okay, but she really prefers the Soothie. Or an Adiri breast bottle? I hope you can get him to take a bottle so you can get some rest. I exclusively nursed my first daughter til she was 2 1/2 months old, and I left her with my mother for a whole dan and night so me, my dad, and my DS could go to Disney. She'd never taken a bottle before and it took 2 hours of my mother trying for her to take the bottle! I felt so bad I cried. (Bad for my mom and worse for my poor hungry baby!!) Doctors say to wait before introducing a bottle, but in my experience doing it earlier was better for them. (and me.)
