When did you start to feel movement? I am "clinically obese" according to my BMI (Plus size 20, prob like 22 now lol) and I still haven't felt anything I'm starting to get discouraged.
ETA- I'm 19 weeks.

I was 224 when I became pregnant. (Not sure of sizes because clothes fit me differently.) I started feeling flutters fairly early, but definite movement by 21-22 weeks. Consistant every day movement was around 24-28 weeks. Time is flying by!

I think I remember you saying you have an anterior placenta? With the twins, I didn't feel any movement, only slight flutters at 18 weeks. I mentioned to my holistic fertility specialist that I was worried I wouldn't feel the little one and she said definitely by 25 weeks. Might need more time...

I'm not clear on this--why do overweight women feel movement later? I get that there is more padding in there, but isn't the padding on the outside of the uterus? Shouldn't we still feel what's happening on the inside just the same?
I'm well overweight too (BMI says obese--size 12-14) and I thought I felt a goldfish swimming in there Friday night after eating ice cream.
Weight really has nothing to do with when you feel movement. It just depends on where your placenta is and, well, how "sensitive" your ute is. Now, if you're a bit on the fluffy side, like yours truely, feeling movement on the outside may be a little bit longer of a wait.

I'm size 16, anterior placenta, tilted ute (although I guess by now it has probably righted itself)...pretty much all the odds are stacked against me.
I *think* I felt movement for the first time on Friday night (19w5d). It felt like a cell phone vibrating right above my pubic bone. It only lasted for a few seconds, and I haven't felt anything since.
The u/s tech said that I probably wouldn't start feeling movement until 22-24 weeks.

I have no advice, but mine also started with the "cell phone vibration" feeling and I thought surely that cannot be the baby so I dismissed it. Then, about a week later (almost 20 weeks exactly) I started feeling little tiny thumps that almost felt like a muscle twitch. I wasn't convinced it was baby until all of a sudden in the last few days the thumps were actually pretty strong and I saw my belly move. They are few and far between though, usually at night and in the morning. I was getting really impatient too. I didn't have flutters or anything of the sort and then it was just one day he decided to start kicking strong enough for me to feel. It will happen!!!

Oh, I forgot to add that at my anatomy scan he was in a breech position so kicking down instead of out which may have contributed to feeling it later. I think he has since turned around. Maybe your twins are kicking down or into each other? Fighting already

Hahahah right!?!?? I know I should be feeling flutters by now. And up until yesterday it didn't really bother me but 3 diff ppl asked me if I've felt anything yet, so it made me kinda sad. One of the twins is breech (boy) other is facing right way. I also think it may be that I'm not paying too close attention throughout the day.
Thanks for your responses ladies. Rach-I prob do have a steel ute!
