Pregnant after a Loss

Braxton Hicks?

I'm alittle over 10 weeks and last night and this morning I have been feeling my stomach tense up and than release.

I've been guzzling water and laying on the couch. Is 10 weeks to early for this? I remember them at 22 weeks last time.

This morning I woke up feeling like my kidneys and lungs were so dry and hurting.

I don't know how to explain it, and don't know if I should call the OB

Re: Braxton Hicks?

  • I'd think it's just your abdomen growing and stretching. It can't hurt to call the OB.

  • I agree about calling.  Even if it's nothing, it's reassuring to hear that from your doctor!

  • Thanks girls. I'll give my OB a call see what they wanna do.
  • I had one at 10 weeks before my OB appt.  Dr. said to make sure I was drinking close to a gallon of water a day.   I hope the OB gvies  you an answer.

  • I have had the same feeling since about 16 weeks. I am sure its Braxton Hicks and I believe they can start as early as 6 weeks you just might not notice them. I still get them once in awhile.

  • When in doubt, call the ob. I read BHs start sooner after your first pregnancy, so it could be that. Feel better.
