Pregnant after a Loss

11+ weeks and I feel good...but of course that makes me worried...

I have been feeling better and better through out the last week and of course I can't help but worry if everything is ok.  I should be REALLY excited (and I am when I am not thinking about the worst case scenario) that I am feeling better...

We have seen a strong HB during week 9 and heard it also. I have no reason to feel worried (other than my own paranoia from previous loss).  I have what I tell my self is normal back aches and normal ute strecthing and pain...

I just wish I could have an ultrasound every week to check on my little bean...

What do you ladies do when you start thinking about the "what if's" when they really aren't warrented.  And when did you start to not think about hte "what if's" and start to relax?

TIA for reading and sharing your thoughts..  Big Smile

  • 11w is when you should start feeling better, so try to go with it. I don't think the 'what if's' ever really go away. I lost my first at 11w and change, and I'm just now (at 22w) starting to trust this LO, and I think it's b/c I feel movement and know it's doing alright from the anatomy scan. It's a long road to be PGAL, buckle up, and keep coming here.

  • I could have written your original post myself!  In fact, I came here thinking about do just that.  I don't know. I'm in the same boat.  I'm receiving u/s every two weeks, but even that isn't enough to allay my fears.  The first week after one, I feel great, then the second weak I am filled with dread about what could be.

People have asked me when they think I'll feel comfortable and able to relax.  I tell them honestly, I think only when I have my baby in my arms.  I do think I'll calm down a little once I can feel movement and track it, but that's a little ways away yet.

Good luck.  You are not alone.

  • I feel the exact same way. I second guess everything.  I am looking forward to and am totally afraid all at the same time of the next ultrasound.  You are not alone.
  • (((Hugs)))  Getting a doppler helped me with this.  It helped to give me reassurance that even though I was feeling better, everything really was okay.

  • Thanks everyone. I am glad I am not alone. No one in my family really gets it because they have never have had a M/C.

I want to buy a doppler, but I am leaving out of town for two weeks for work. I am going to see if I canmail stuff to my hotel I am staying at...I have never done that before. Hopefully I can.

Thoughts and Prayers to us all!
