RLP at Inner thigh???

I am having really bad pains in my inner thigh right up to my bikini line. I was googleing trying to figure it out and it sounds like its round ligament pain. I thought round ligament pain would only be in the abdomen. It sucks!!! It hurts so bad when I roll over and yesterday and today it even hurt to walk. Does anyone have experience with this? Will it go away or is this what I have to look forward to for the next couple months? Ugh!!

  • My boss had this ALL THE TIME when she was pregnant.  It went away the moment her little girl was born. The doctor said it was nerve related!

  • I thought the round ligament attached from the labia to the uterus, so pantyline is exactly where it was when I had it!!  I'd imagine it could be felt into the abdomen, but it attaches pretty low.

  • Well thanks lady! I don't feel better about this at all! lol I have a doctors appointment this week so I'm going to talk to him about it. I was wondering if a visit to the chiropractor would help it at all...hmmm.. It's worth asking!

  • YES. This exactly. The doctor said it was RLP and most likely won't go away until the baby comes out :( Luckily for me it's only on the left side but it's horrible! Pillows between the legs at night help a tiny bit but pretty much nothing has been helping :/

  • I had something that sounded like that... it went down my thighs, and felt very painful when I would walk. The chiro had me lay on my back with my legs bent at the knees. She held her hands on each side of my knees and had me push out as hard as I could, then I opened my legs a bit more...and repeated... opened as wide as I could, and repeated.... then did the whole process over, only trying to squeeze my legs shut this time while she provided counter pressure. I heard a pop, and since then (2 weeks), the pain has not returned. I hope that made sense. She said I could do this at home with hubby. I really recommend seeing a chiro, though. I feel very non-pregnant thanks to mine.

  • I have had a pain in the muscle that connects my crotch area to my leg. I get it so bad that its hard to walk, stand, or even move. I think mine is a nerve issue because it acts up when my back acts up too. I've tried to stretch it out by doing "butterfly legs" and that helps a little, but I hope it gets better after the baby comes.

This exactly. I was freaked out about it at first and sent an emergency email to my aunt, who's an OB in MI...it's totally RLP. Sucks, b/c it really does hurt!
