My mom will be helping us out by watching our LO when I go back to work. She was talking about getting a crib for her own house since the baby will be there so much. I was just thinking of getting a play and pack, but she said she can't bend as much once the baby gets older. What is your family doing?
TIA
Re: ? for those who are having LO watched by family?
Our baby will be watched by my FI's family. They are older-about like 60ish and they are giving him his own nursery with a crib and everything. However they also has a play and pack. Grandma is still very active and it won't be a problem for her to bend over and pick him up and whatnot but I know Jack will be spending a lot of time there so she's got the nursery ready for him.
My parents turned one of their spare rooms in a "kids" room when DS was born. They had a crib in it, but DS rarely slept in it. When he was really little, my mom would come to our house and watch DS because it was easier for her to have all his stuff here. Now that he is older and out of a crib, he spends the night at their house at least once a week (they all LOVE it!) and sleeps in a regular bed.
My parents have a full nursery, and everything we have... (probably more) haha. At first I thought it was a little over the top, but when I can go to their place and not pack a thing, makes it much easier... now with #2 on the way, I'm sure I'm going to really appreciate it!
I say she should get whatever she is more comfortable using, if thats a crib great, if you have a pack and play you can always take it for use there too
