I'll feel like I have to go very bad and then when I attempt, I'll just get a trickle but if I try again a few minutes later, I'll actually pee.
I'm wondering if this is baby related or if I have something else going on (no burning, etc.)
Am I the only one not peeing 'normally' anymore?
Re: Issues peeing?
This is exactly what is happening to me. I assume its because the baby is compressing my bladder...????
I asked my doctor about this a few weeks ago and she said that one reason is that the baby is actually resting on your urethra and essentially pinching it off, so the urine that is in your bladder doesn't come out. So the feeling that you need to pee is real, but the baby is essentially blocking most of the exit. She recommended that I stand up or try and actually lift my belly to see if that helps and then I can pee more.
There's definitely the explanation of the baby smashing your bladder too, which gives you the sensation that you need to go but don't actually have to.
I always shift into 3-4 other "positions" while I try to pee. You will find "pockets" of pee in there.
If your doc has you PIAC every visit they probably check for UTI's as well as protein. During pregnancy you can have a "silent" UTI, no pain, nothing seemingly out of the ordinary. I would not worry too much :-)
Baby #2 on the way!
