Pregnant after a Loss

Different Symptoms

This pregnancy feels so much different than the last. Which is a good thing because we lost the last one, but it still worries me to not have symptoms. Last time my boobs didn't start to hurt until week 7, now that was the first thing I noticed. Today I woke up with no symptoms and it's not that I am worried, but I just feel more at ease when I have symptoms. I know some people pray for their symptoms to go away, but I just want them to stick around.

Re: Different Symptoms

  • I remember wishing to feel like poo- I've felt pretty good the whole time, and I can feel LO moving around right now, so it seems to still be going well. Try not to worry, and count your blessings that you don't spend the day sprinting to the bathrooom.

  • With this pregnancy, I have learned that symptoms don't mean diddly. With my last one (that I m/c) I had nausea, heartburn, diarrhea, cramps, sore boobs, the whole nine yards. That ended with a m/c at 7 weeks.

This one, my first indication was the pregnancy test. I didn't believe it bc I was sure that I wasn't pregnant.  Around 5 weeks, my nipples got sore. Not my boobs, just my nipples. Then around 6-8 weeks, I had evening nausea & sleepiness. That's it. Never puked.

I have woken up every morning of this pregnancy sans nausea, feeling fine and dandy. I get tired in the afternoon and extra thirsty if I don't drink enough. But that's all! I'll be 17 weeks tomorrow.

Your symptoms are probably on their way. People have posted polls before asking when symptoms showed up & most people have said around 6 or 7 weeks for them. Try and enjoy not puking now Big Smile

  • This pregnancy has been really different for me, too. I've had NO morning sickness or nausea and I'm 8 weeks along. Last time I was constantly sick. My boobs didn't really start hurting until now. I've been much less constipated. I felt way more "pregnant" last time, but this time I feel pretty fine, other than the exhaustion. Things are looking okay so far, so I'm going to just hope that different is good.

  • I remeber feeling great during weeks 4-5 (aside from sore boobs) came week 6 and BAM the symptoms hit and they hit hard. Then week 8 I felt great which worried me then week 9 everything came back with a vengeance. Remember every woman every body every pregnancy is different.

  • I went through the same stress as you and everytime my symptoms change, I get worried.  It is difficult not to.  Every PG is different.   My symptoms are very different than the previous PG.  I was totally surprised this time around because I had no symptoms at all when I got my BFP.  Most of my symptoms kicked in at 6wks and they are on and off, which is annoying.  I pray and hope things are going well.
