I just sold 2 diapers on spots. I emailed both buyers to let them know that I would be heading to the post office on wednesday or thursday to mail out packages. Is that a reasonable time frame for me to mail them out or do you think that's too long for a buyer to wait (3-4days)? I did let the buyers know that if they need the diapers sooner than I can have someone run to the post office for me on Monday. Give me your honest opinions please.....I'm new at selling things on spots. TIA

I want the diaper in my hands the second I click BIN, but I do think three days is pretty reasonable. I wouldn't give you bad feedback about it, especially since you took the effort to email.

i think that is fine as long as you communicated. 4 days is the longest id wait to ship though

If I bought something over the weekend, I'd expect it to be shipped on Monday/Tuesday. If you knew you couldnt get to the PO until Thurs, then I would have put that in the listing. JMHO.

Just an FYI -you don't have to actually go to the post office. You can print a shipping label straight from paypal and just stick them in the mailbox. I use my kitchen scale to weigh the package and then round up to the nearest whole ounce.

considering most big name websites take that long to ship things unless you pay extra, I hadly think thats unreasonable.

I agree with pp. If you were upfront about it, I think it's fine. I mind when sellers don't tell you and then it takes forever to mail.

I pretty much always ship within 24 hours, unless it is on Saturday afternoon, then it obviously can't go out until Mon. Also, as pp mentioned, if you ship through paypal you don't have to go to the PO.

Because you told them upfront and they agreed to it, it's fine but to me, that would be too long. I think it's courteous to get the package out ASAP especially since you most likely already have the money in your PP account the next business day. But, I'm also spoiled by same day/next day shipping from my favorite retailers. ;-)
