Is your LO head down ::clicky poll::

I know it is to early to really worry about this, but my LO has been transverse for weeks now, and I starting to worry if she will go head down. I am even starting some of the techniques they recommend to get baby to move. So it got me wondering....[Poll]

  • she was at one point ( i believe). her kicks were above my belly button and by my ribs. but at my ultrasound on thursday she was in the breach position.

  • I have no idea really.  I feel most kicks/movement up near my ribs and side but then sometimes I feel her down low.  I'm sure she's still flipping around so I'm not too worried about where she is yet.  My doctor said she'll send me in for an u/s at 34/35 weeks to check her position and size.

  • Yes he is and I'm hoping he stays that way! I couldn't believe it when my OB told me that most babies have decided at this point what direction they want to be in...

  • At my last U/S on 2/10 Baby Boy was head down. I have no idea what position he might be in now. We'll see, I guess. Though lately I've been wondering if he's transverse again because I feel little somethings near my hip bones again.

  • 2 weeks ago when i was in L&D, she was breech (Tues) and than that Friday she was head down.

My OB said that it is still common for them to switch around at this point and not to worry, she has plenty of time to get into position.

  • Her butt is below my right lung.  And I want her to stay that way as long as possible because it so much more comfortable than head down.  She can move to birthing position when she drops.

  • She had been head down but off to the side a bit. Then this week she flipped up. I hate that bc my first was breeech and never flipped down. My dr said since this isn't my first pregnancy where the uterus would be tight and not a lot of room for them to flip she thinks the baby could flip up till the last second. I guess there is one pro to having a stretched out uterus lol

  • I didn't vote because I'm not sure.  I think the baby is head down (s/he was at my last growth ultrasound at 24 weeks), but I feel movement all over, though mostly on the sides, especially on my right.  Movements are more up than down though, so probably the baby is just stretching out those long arms and legs.

  • At my last appointment the doctor said she's head down, but I can tell where she is according to her hiccups. She has moved, but seems to always go back to head down. I hope she stays that way!

Try not to worry to much though, there's still plenty of time!

  • My baby is all over the place and flips once every other day if not every day.  I am 28 weeks today, so I am not worried.  Can't believe only 2 months left!!!!!!!!!!!  This pregnancy went lightning fast compared to DD's!

  • this DS is transverse like DS1 was.  I can feel butt on the right side and head on the left side.  I get horizontal kicks/punches.
  • My LO was transverse at my 20 week u/s and my 26 week apt.

My OB said he/she has plenty of time to reposition, they don't start to get concerned until 36 weeks.

I have noticed in the past couple of days, a bit more pressure down low, so I'm hoping maybe he/she is head-down now.  We'll see next week at my apt!

  • He is for now, but somersaults once or twice a week which both hurts and scares the bejesus out of me.

  • She still flips all the time, it is early still so I am not worried about it at all.

  • My doctor said he was head down and I feel kicks up toward the top of my belly and little punches at the bottom of my belly. However yesterday I was feeling them on the sides again and I hope he didn't switch positions....I was happy knowing he was head down and gettin' ready to go!

  • I know my little girl is head down because I feel her hiccups really down low!

  • LO was breech at my MW appointment on Tuesday, but she told me there's still plenty of time to flip.  It's been doing some really uncomfortable stuff in there the last few days so maybe it's trying to flip?  Most babes settle head down by 32 weeks so I have 2 more weeks before I start to worry much about it.

  • This baby moves around a lot, but for the most part it's lying transverse.  It feels like it's doing jumping jacks and I feel kicks and punches on both sides at the same time.

DS was head down from about 18 weeks on.  It's much more comfortable how #2 is lying.  I felt like DS was going to fall out.

  • I asked my MW at my last appointment how he was positioned since I could feel kick in the upper right part of my uterus.  She did confirm that he was head down but said that it was still early and he could always change positions for a while and then go back to head down.
