ok, so I have a 36 day cycle. I ovulated on Feb 11th, got my BFP on the 20th. My question is, doctors method, would calculate my EDD from the date of my last period 1/22 making my due date Oct 29th. however, since my cycle is longer, FF and TCOYF is saying that my EDD is Nov 4th. I think I should go with the 4th. I have my appt on the 16th so, I have to wait till then. Did any of you fall into the same circumstance? Just hoping that my Dr goes with 11/4... as that would be more accurate. For us VBAC mammas, have any of you said that the date of your last period was different? It would be ok if it were 2 or 3 days, but this is a whole week off. I don't want to be sent to a c-section if I am not even really due yet if they keep the EDD "doctor's method" way.

Re: XP: from 1st Trimester Due date question
This is what I am hoping for. The difference is 6 days, which is a lot to us Vbac hopefuls! : )
Blog a Log
I would insist on going with the Nov. 4th EDD. Personally if my doctor wouldn't listen to me on this subject, I would wonder if they were the right doctor for me.
FWIW FF gave me an EDD that was 2 days later than my LMP date and I told my doctor that and he was fine with it. I don't want to be told "you're X weeks, you need an induction/c-section" if I really still have 2 more days to go into labor on my own. And I definitely wouldn't want to be told that if there was a week's discrepancy.
My LMP was before I conceived my first child, so we couldn't go by that anyway! I had a dating scan where they said my EDD was "around 11 Oct" and said it was too early to be all that specific. At my 12-week, the woman told me it was 13 Oct. I relayed to my doctor the 13 Oct date, and that is what he wrote on my paperwork and what we used going forward. Then when I was 39 weeks, I was talking to another doctor at the hospital (there were pre-e concerns at the time) and she said the computer system still had 11 Oct. The tech from the 12-week scan had never changed it in the system.
I shouldn't have been surprised. It wasn't the first instance of poor record-keeping. My GP was livid when I mentioned I had a CVS and there was no mention of it ANYWHERE. *sigh* Anyway, the doc and I had a long talk about which date to use. I said I didn't care since I wasn't going to make it to 42 weeks anyway, and the doc was the one going "are you sure?! This could be important!" If it had been 6 days, I'd definitely have fought it!
In your shoes, I'd probably lie about LMP. I had taken my FF charts and everything in with I was pregnant with my first, and my doc pulled out his wheel and said, "yeah, well, this is how *I* calculate it." *eyeroll* Funny how my u/s showed exactly the date I tried to convince him of in the first place?.
