Okay so my DS has a penus..obviously. But he has always had a big fat pad since birth. This causes his penus to "hide" in lack of better words. I know three other boys who have had this problem, but out grew it around 12 months. I was wondering if any of your DS had or have the same thing? Im ready for my DS to out grow this.. simply because I have to make sure his skin doesnt grow back from his circumcision. I was just wondering if DS is alone?
Re: If you have a son..
My BFP Chart
BFP 12/19/08 m/c 12/26/08 4 weeks 5 days BFP 10/12/12 m/c 11/19/12 9 weeks...love you forever my angel babies!
Griffin had a big fat pad, and so does Gibby.
Griffin's went away after he turned 2... from 2-3y/o he didn't gain any weight- he just grew taller- and thinned out - so did his fat pad and his penis is totally fine now.
just make sure you pull the skin back every day to clean and make sure it doesn't reattach. He won't grow back the skin- but it can start to stick together again, and you don't want that to happen.
I am worried about this also. it's almost like the foreskin has reattached (not much of a head) on my DS. I ask my son's ped to check it every time we go and she doesn't seemed worried. She says it will "pop out" as he gets older. I did make an appt. with a urologist (sp?) to get his opinion. My ped says not to force the extra skin back but I have friends who their ped says to force it back. Who knows???? I am interested to see what others have to say. I'm glad you brought this subject up:)
LOL- this totally made me crack up. I was thinking the same thing.
