Back carries in a wrap.......

are going to drive me insane.  I just.can't.get.them.  I try and I try and I try.  If DH is around then he helps me, if not I just give up and reach for one of my mei tais to put Casey up on my back or I go with a front carry using the wrap.  Some day I will get it down.  Yes, I will.

  • Yes, you will.  Keep trying!  For me anyway, there was a huge learning curve.  But then one day all of a sudden, it just clicked & I could do it.  Keep at it!  You'll get it!

  • I used to get so frustrated trying to back carry, and then I would be sweating and DS would get frustrated.  Then I started practicing on a teddy bear, it helped me get the motions of back wrapping down.  Once I had the motions down pat, I started putting T up.  I would also give him something to hold while I was getting the back carry down.  That way he wouldn't start fussing.  You'll be amazed that one day it just becomes second nature

  • I remember being so frustrated trying to wrap on my back. I am definitely still learning. PP have had good suggestions especially practicing without the baby. The other thing that helped me was trying different wraps and different carries. I know that everyone loves DH but the first back carry that worked for us was SHBC. Also, I did better on my own over a bed than when DH was there. It made me too nervous. Keep trying!
