Because if it is, then I know someone who is. The wife of one of my husband's friends has been completely obsessed with the idea of getting pregnant since I've met her 4 years ago. She obsesses over other people's babies and CONSTANTLY talks about getting pregnant. They just bought a house, so they are planning on TTC sometime this year.
Well, she just posted on FB that "the nursery is painted." Several people asked if she's "preggo" and she said "no," but she is planning ahead for when she is... My immediate thought was "If you have ANY problems getting and/or staying pregnant, looking at that nursery every day is going to make your life miserable." Why on earth don't people think of these things??? Is it lack of common sense, or just lack of dealing with shitty circumstances like we all have? I am just baffled and don't think that anyone else would understand.
Re: Is it possible to be a FH when you're not pregnant?
I think a) she is a non-pg FH...certifiable one even and b) she's blessed with that blissful naivete that none of us will ever have again. She'll probably pop out 5 kids with no issues and awesome uneventful pg's...but she'll prob still b!tch about how awful being pg is the whole time.
I hate her already!
I know someone just like this. She actually told my SIL that she won't eat bananas b/c it increases your chances of having a boy....
Shes not trying to get pregnant until later this year.... shes BSC
You're right. I don't know why I would even think that she'd have a difficult time. Silly me.
I hope she gets cramps in her legs every night from potassium deficiency.
I don't know her, so this is just me playing devil's advocate here, but I have 2 close friends who have been TTC and have dealt with losses and IF, but they haven't told many people they are TTC. They do plan things like buying larger homes and painting their nurseries in the hopes that they will eventually have children, whether they can have them on their own or adopt. To the people who don't know that they are TTC and having issues, it probably seems odd that they are doing those things even though they aren't pg.
And I'm totally not flaming here because I know there are plenty of FH's out there who just assume it will be a walk in the park getting pregnant, but sometimes there is more to the story than we know.
