I'm being seen at Susquehanna OB/GYN (they have 5 or 6 midwives) and the hospital I'm delivering at is Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. They offer a water birth option. If you go to their website you can do a virtual tour and I believe they show you the water birth option in the video.
Bay Area Midwives in Annapolis has tubs in their birth center. I had my DS there, I mainly labored in the tub, but I did not have him in the water (my choice) but you can do a water birth with them.
I have heard that AAMC (BA MW's delivers @ AAMC too) has 2 rooms w/ tubs, but I don't think you can birth in the tubs at the hospital.
I believe there is a poster who had her DS @ Special Beginnings in Arnold, which is also worth checking out.

That is me He was born in the water and it was great. AAMC does have laboring tubs, but I don't recommend that option as the tend to "reserve" those rooms for moms w/multiples as they are bigger. If you are intent on laboring in water (which is a natural pain reliever) or potentially having a water birth I would pick a place that is guaranteed to have tubs available for you and make sure that they work. (I have a friend in CA who was told that her hospital had tubs only to find out that they hadn't worked in like 2 years, a fact that was conveniently omitted from her hospital tour).

Womens Health Associates in Towson is a midwife group that delivers at St. Joe's. I've seen Mary there since I found out I was pregnant and love it so far. DH also likes her.
I went to Bayarea and ended up delivering at AAMC (not in a tub) due to being induced (long story). I really liked the midwives at Bayarea and you have the option of delivering at the Center or at Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC).
There are great midwives at Maryland General. People don't always think so, as it isn't in the best area, but they are wonderful! They do allow you to have a water birth.
I am going to Special Beginnings Birth Center. The midwives are great, and you can have a water birth in either their whirlpool tub or birthing pool.
Re: Midwife/Birth Center recs?
I believe the only place in the area that allows water birth is Mercy Hospital and Kathy Sloan and midwives that work there.
Special Beginnings I think is the only birth center in the area
