Upper back pain

Anyone else getting upper back pain? I have been getting pains in my upper back, closer to my shoulder blade.  It makes me have to lay down on a heating pad to feel better...i go to doc on Monday for check-up but was curious if anyone else has this problem

    YES!  Particularly if I sit in the same position for too long.  Nothing seems to make it go away! Ugh

    I had this with my first pregnancy.  I would get it a lot when I sat at my desk at work.  I'm sure it will be coming with this pregnancy too.

    Just curious, do you sit at a desk for most of your day? If so, you may just want to confirm that you're sitting appropriately. All body parts s/b at 90 degree angles: knees in relation to the floor, hips in relation to your legs, elbows in relation to your ribs. You should also ensure that you don't have to look up or down to clearly see your monitor. You may need to use some paper to raise it. These little changes often assist with pain in the upper back area, which can sometimes be caused by strain but unfit work stations. These things often go unnoticed normally but when you're pregnant, everything gets tired more easily and requires a little more attention and care.

    I have the same problem! Try a large ice pack, it was recommended by my physical therapist!! It was worked wonders for me.

    Yes! I have the exact same pain but it is only on my right side and right up next to my shoulder blade. It is driving me nuts!!!!

    Yes, it usually happens when I sit for a long time, but it doesn;t go away when I stand...errrr.  I have been using the heating pad, but I will try icing it instead.  Tonite I took and epsom salt bath and that did help a bit, but not much.  I may be seeking a prenatal massage therapist!
