Since coming out of the IF closet this year in almost all parts of my life, there's a growing team of family and close friends who follow my ivf cycles, route for me, read my blog, check in... I'm so impressed that almost everyone in my life has handled it all so thoughtfully lately. Tonight I'm going to my little sister's b-day party and getting drunk for the first time since I started this past cycle that just ended in a c/p. My cousin just called me now to say she heard about my cycle not working and wanted to tell me how sorry she was before tonight, so I can just enjoy tonight without having to talk about it if I don't want to. I was floored by how thoughtful that was. Especially coming from a single, younger person who's head isn't in the whole kid game yet.
PCOS, Hypothyroidism, 2 failed ivfs (one with OHSS), several cancelled fets. Finally got to do FET on Valentine's Day - c/p
Re: I complain when people mess up so here's a shout out for something incredibly sweet
Wow, your cousin sounds truly toughtful. The last time I had drinks with my cousin (a nurse) she exclaimed loudly... "I almost called you the other night from the maternity ward to see if you wanted to adopt a baby a lady was giving up" and I mean loudly...The whole party stopped. LOL... your cousin = thoughtful: my cousin = not so much
I hope you have fun tonight : )
wow, that's unbelievable!!! How did you control yourself? My cousins wife asks me if I have good news yet when I see her. They she tells me how to check my BBT to see when I OV. Um, thanks for the tips. Some people are so clueless...but maybe I would be if I didn't go through this. I would just be a little smarter.
That was really sweet. I'm glad your family/friends have handled your situation so well.
Have fun tonight!
We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And HOPE does not dissappoint.
