How long after?

Poor little R had to have his shots yesterday and STILL won't let me put him down! I had to sleep with him snuggled TIGHT to my chest (hello arm ache and exhaustion!) if I let go even just a little he would get upset, and from about 2 or 3 until 6 he was crying every few minutes and squirming around and in lots of pain. Now all he wants to do is sleep on my chest. I'm loving the snuggle time, but I just wish my poor little guy would feel better!

So, my question for you ladies is: For how long after their 2 month shots did your LO's not feel good??

Re: How long after?

  • Almost 3 days :( It will get better. Does he have a temp at all?

  • I think the 2 month shots were the worst... it was a couple days of not feeling good with a high fever. 4 month were a little bit better, but still a fever and 6 months was only about a day of not feeling good. 1 year, she was completely fine! Hope he starts feeling better soon!

Aww... No fever so far, but then again I've been semi-regular about giving him infant tylenol

  • Almost 2 days for E, and I gave her infant tylenol too (well, not the tylenol brand, the no-additives kind I found at Target).  After that she was back to her normal chubby happy self.

  • Ah gosh, I don't remember. It seems like so long ago that he was that little. But I do remember that the 2-month ones were the worst. They got progressively easier each time, and he didn't even cry for his 16-month shots. He just kinda looked at us like, "WTF?"

I hope your little feels better soon. Just snuggle him tight and keep up on the Tylenol. Poor little dude!

  • Aw, I'm sorry.  Shots suck.  I remember my little guy took a super long nap that day and then was fussy that night, but then he woke up the next day his normal happy self.  He tends to be the worst that first night and then he is fine.  We give him generic Baby Tylenol to help with the pain.

Thanks, I have been snuggling him tight all day, I've barely been able to put him down for more than 5 minutes w/o him crying and calling out "mam!!". Yes, my 2 month old knows how to call for his mommy. It's really cute/sad
