When they wear big kid shoes, holy $$$$

Jack needs new shoes. He wears an 11.

I want to buy these... https://tiny.cc/x5d5u  He's had them before and they wear really well, plus the grey doesn't show dirt and they are cute!

Sawyer is currently wearing this same shoe of Jacks from when they wore the same size.

But Man! He doesn't wear toddler sizes anymore, so these shoes are pricey!

  • Try Kohls.  I wore kids sizes before getting pregnant (now my feet are too fat) and always got a good deal on athletic shoes there.  I know they sell New Balance, just not positive if they have the style you're looking for.

  • I haven't looked in the boys section, but I have always been able to find good quality shoes for the girls at Target for $20 or less... granted they aren't Nike, but they are cute and hold up well.  I just can't bring myself to spend $50 on shoes as fast as they grow out of them at this stage.

  • I second Kohl's.  We have gotten DS1's shoes from there and I never spend more than $30.  Also try Monroe Outlet, DS1 will be in 'man' sized shoes later this year... now THAT I am not looking forward to :(

  • We've ordered from Joe's New Balance Outlet before for B, and they have some good prices.  I don't know if they have the same style or what price they'd be, but they do have free shipping this weekend.  That's insane for kids' shoes!

  • I'd totally pay that for decent shoes. That said, I'm a total shoe whore (even for my kids).
  • Did you check anywhere else online? Like Macy's or some department store where you can use  a coupon?

We spend the bucks on the kids shoes too, first because Maggie was a wide and now I'm sold on Stride Rite quality and service. She only gets one or two pairs per season.
