Walk, walk, walk?

When you were walk, walk, walking to induce labor, how long were you really walking for?

I'm a VBA2C candidate and am on the clock for avoiding a RCS.  I'm curious whether I'm walking/exercising more or less than the average end of pregnancy walker.

 TIA!

  • My doctor never suggested a bunch of walking... He suggested a lot of sex. The hormones in the sperm will help soften your cervix.

  • I walked once a day for half an hour.

From the moment I found out I was pregnant until month 6 1/2 I did prenatal yoga also. I quit the yoga because I was too tired from being pregnant and working.

I went on maternity leave at 35 weeks because I was so worn out. The day I was week 37 I had more energy from not working so I decided to try the prenatal yoga. 4 hours after doing it my water broke!

    yeah prenatal yoga! :)

  • I walked for an hour a day near the end. The day of my induction, I walked the mall for 3 hours. Didnt make a difference unfortunately. Hope it works better for you!

  • I walked! I walked on a saturday from about 11am-2pm then stopped for lunch then started walking again at 3pm-6pm. I started having contractions around 10pm or so... then i had my baby on sunday! It worked for me and it also worked for my sister about a year ago....we walked her for about the same amount of time!

I was dialted 1 cm for 2 weeks and i had her on my due date!

Goodluck! (i think it only works if you are really ready)

  • On the day I went into labor I walked about a mile but I was always jumping up and down the curbs, trying to get the baby in farther to my pelvis. Then I went home and had sex crouching over Dh (TMI I know). Do some squats as well!
