Question- Bedtime Baths as Routine?

My LO is 4 weeks old and we wanted to start getting her into a bedtime routine. I've read that a lot of moms are giving their LO's a nightly bath as a way to relax and get their LO's into sleep mode. DD LOVES her baths, but our pedi told us that she only needs 2-3 baths per week until she starts crawling. I'm not sure if this is because she's not getting very dirty? Is there any harm in incorporating this into her nightly routine? If you do bath LO every evening, do you do anything special to avoid dry skin or other issues?

We only do a tub bath 2 or 3 times a week. The other nights we just wipe down with a cloth, then do lotion, Pjs, story, nurse, bed with Sleep Sheep on.

I like to do our baths in the morning. She gets them every 2-3 days, no soap except her hair, no lotion (sometimes we do vaseline on her cheeks if she's been drooling a lot). She has super soft skin. We do a swaddle and a song at night before bed. She's generally too tired to listen to a book, so we do books in the afternoon.

We started doing baths every night at 6 weeks but we only use soap every other night to avoid dry skin. He definitely seems to settle after his bath.

DD has really dry skin so we haven't been doing nightly baths, but she sleeps so well after a bath that we might start doing no soap baths every other night.

no harm in starting the routine now. eucerin cream works great for babies skin.
