I just suggested this name to DH and he actually said he likes it! He never likes anything! haha Do you think it works with Connor?
Would it be strange for us to use it since neither of us is even slightly Italian? If we choose an Irish middle name do you think that would balance things out?
Family names we could use for a middle name:
Rocco Daniel
Rocco Stephen
Rocco George
Rocco Everett
Rocco Lincoln
Rocco Clifford
Rocco Howard
Rocco Calvin
Rocco John
Rocco Francis
Other non-family name options:
Rocco Desmond
Rocco Seamus
Rocco Sebastian
Rocco Elias
Rocco Donovan
Rocco Eamon
Re: WDYT of Rocco?
I like Rocco Stephen and Rocco George.
I have sons with a Scottish name and Italian name, however those are both part of our heritage. My sons and Lachlan Everett and Vito David. I do not believe that sibling sets need to match in heritage. However, if you dont have any Italian in you it may be a little "off". But.....I am also a fan of using whatever name you like regardless of any other factors.
I like Rocco Everett
I love Rocco! Rocco Stephen, Rocco George, Rocco Everett & Rocco Sebastian are my favourites from your list.
Mm. I think Rocco & Connor sound cute together!
They may be different styles, but if you like it, GO FOR IT!
IMO it's adorable.
I think it is so silly when people say it is weird to give a child a name with certain heritage if you dont have any of that heritage in your blood. Most names in this country have originated elsewhere. Most of them have eventually become mainstream.
If you love Rocco use Rocco. Do you think peopleare going to come up to you and say hey re you italian?
I love Rocco. It started as my guilty pleasure name, but now I just love it. Sadly, it sound ridiculous with our last name (starts with Co_). DH even likes it and he hates everything.
I think it's fine to use even if you're not Italian and an Irish mn is fine, but not necessary.
I know a little Rocco, although he has an Italian ln.
I like Rocco Sebastian best.

I don't really care for it...every time I see the name, I immediately think of rococo art, then have to correct myself. But I am a nerd, so.
I love a lot of the other names on your list though...I always liked seeing the choices you'd post before your LO was born!
Don't like Rocco.
Thanks!
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

I like Rocco but I can't imagine naming my son that. It sounds like he's destined to be a bouncer (or in the mob like PP stated). It doesn't sound like an adult name to me.
I also don't think you'll get past the "Italian-ness" of it. I know this couple - Mark and Julie - and they named their boys Paolo and Giovanni. Most people that know them find it to be odd.....
I really like Rocco!!! My friend named her son that and he is 3 now. I didn't like it at first but it really grows on you! Her husband is Italian but I don't think it really matters that you aren't. If you like a name, go for it!
I like Rocco Calvin or Rocco Everett (Calvin is my son's name, and Everett was my top boy name if our daughter had been a boy) Good luck!
