when all you want is to go get a latte. but alas..i need to shower (see fffc) and need to finish my work anyways...
I am creating/ designing some new cake flavors for one of my accounts and so far the names I have are;
white coffee cappuccino (white cake/ bavarian filling/ coffee buttercream)
Mocha Venti (choc cake/ coffee buttercream/ choc truffle)
Irish Cream Supreme (choc cake/ irish creme buttercream)
Mint Frango (choc cake/ mint infused buttercream)
Choc Mousse Cloud
See a trend here with the possible drinks I could get at the coffee stand? lol
On another note...what is a type of cake you would LOVE to see in a store and yet never do? What flavors would say "BUY ME" to you?
The sky is the limit with this particular account of mine. BUT, I'm running out of ideas.
Re: naming types of cakes is dangerous..
I love blueberry everything, and I rarely see blueberry desserts. I dont know if its possible, but I would demolish a blueberry cake
All the ones you listed sound DELICIOUS though!!
We had an almond cake at our wedding that was amazing.
I also love blueberry and lemon.
And coconut.
And anything mint/ chocolate combo.
Can you use the product name "Frango" for the name of a cake? Isn't that some sort of trademark infringement?
I *love* caramel, but caramel cakes are really rare. Please design one so I can go buy it!
Chocolate and caramel, yummo!!!
Poppyseed with a lemon/lime, so good in the summertime.
Dh loves yellow cake and funfetti types.
What about cho.chip cookie dough? Snickerdoodle?
yes C, I'm sure Frango is trademarked. I do see it used around though. I needed something else to go with Mint...?
I also see Ho Ho used on various cupcake websites. I would have thought that too was trademarked. I did make a Hostess looking cupcake and I called it "hostess with the mostest" lol
Love the ideas!
This sounds absolutely FABULOUS.
I vote for this one to be called Chocolate-Mintalicious.
Unable to even.

You don't understand the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch / think he's fug / don't know who he is? WATCH SHERLOCK. Until you do, your negative opinion of him will not be taken seriously.
this all the way! love smores! I was just telling DH the other day that I want to make smores cupcakes. but now I am thinking of making smores popcorn for Eli's popcorn bar at his party.
mmmmmmmmmm, drooling.
Oh and for me I like mango. the chinese buffett by our house makes these awesome little mango cakes. they are soooo yummy.
I kind of like desserts that are inspired by other desserts. So maybe cakes with flavors/fillings based on stuff like key lime pie, banana cream pie or bananas foster, creme brulee (if you could do a crisp sugar top like the real stuff?? Omg!).
My hubby likes anything with blueberries or peanut butter/chocolate.
Retro/nostalgic cakes that remind you of childhood would be fun too, like a twinkie cake, whoopie pie, those puffy things with marshmallow and pink coconut? Oh! Fluffernutter with peanut butter & marshmallow!
I want cake.
My ensemble director has a cupcake business on the side and she has a Pink Lemonade Cupcake! I haven't tried it but I'm thinking about it for a baby shower I'm throwing for a friend of mine.
Its friday and im in a boozy mode so...
Margarita cupcake (lime with a tangy frosting and salt on top)
Strawberry daquri (Strawberry cake, lime frosting maybe?)
Chocolate Stout Cupcake
Spiked cocoa (Chocolate w/ Mint)
I have a awesome recipe for pink lemonaid cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. just the right mix of tart and sweet. let me know if you want it.
CR had one this summer that I LOVED, and I think you can do something similar. It was called the Route 66 Strawberry, white cake with strawberry buttercream.
If you could do a vanilla poundcake with strawberries baked in, and then top it with a strawberry buttercream, you could call it the Strawberry Shortcake. YUM. ::drooling now::
I also second the boozy one's that Kacie mentioned, but add a Champagne and Strawberries one too.
You have the funnest job!
The only Easter Bunny I can get behind.
