BPF & 40wk appt update

Yesterday I had my 40wk appt and NST.

There was still no progress, only a fingertip dilated.

Since I ran out of the house without eating breakfast LO wasn't as active as they liked during my NST. My mom went down to the lobby to get me juice and yogurt which was all my LO needed to start a dance party.

I asked my DR when we can start to talk about induction. She said that if they induced me today it would most likely lead to a c-section because my cervix isn't ready. She said if I don't go into labor by Wed they will induce me then.

I go to L&D on Monday for an u/s and another NST. Monday afternoon they want to see me for a regular check up. Wednesday at 3pm we check into the hospital to start cervidil and then Thursday they will start the pitocin if necessary.

I'm so glad that I get to hold my little girl very soon!

Your doc is referring to something called a "Bishop score" which can predict the likelihood of vaginal delivery based on cervical exam.

Of course I was closed/long/high when they started my induction with DS and ended up delivering vaginally. So these things are definitely not 100% accurate.

Glad you get to meet your LO soon!!!
