I'm wondering if it's worth it to get a carrier for DS at this point. He's been going through a clingy phase where he just wants to be held and I can't get anything done around the house. He was never big on babywearing when he was an infant. I have a Belle Baby Carrier that we used a few times when he was around 4-6 months old, but that's it.
Any recommendations for a toddler carrier or should I just ride out the clingy phase?
Re: How often do you wear your 1+ year old?
I have a (homemade) mei tai that I love love and works great with DD at this stage.

My mom lives a five minute walk away from my house. The walk isn't so long, but it is through woods and snow and pretty rough terrain. DD just can't manage the walk yet, especially during the winter. So, I wear DD pretty much every day, walking back and forth to my mom's. I also wear her a couple times a week at the grocery store or during various errands.
I have two woven wraps that I love most right now, a Babyhawk that I used exclusively for about eight months, a ring sling and a pocket sling. Neither of the slings get a lot of use, but I do use them occasionally.
i wear her enough to make it worth it to have a carrier. Maybe 2-3 times a week? Definitely more than i use a stroller. I'm sure it would be more if I were home with her all day. I mostly use the ergo, but also like my mei tai.
Do you plan on having more children? If so, I'd say it would be worth it for sure.
Also keep in mind that carriers have decent resale value.

I'd say get one for sure - we still wear daily and did so even more a year ago (pretty much any time we went for a walk or went out for errands or anywhere a stroller would be used). Kiddo walks mostly now but still wants "up" sometimes. I've actually found he requests "up" more now than he did over a year ago when he was just learning to walk.
The Babyhawk Oh Snap and Boba are two easy to find options that work well for toddlers. I have other info on carriers in my siggy link if you want more info ;-)
