Recommendations for daycare

Hi... I'm just starting to look into daycare possibilities in the Boston/Dorchester/Braintree Area. Any recommendations?? We do have a friend that has a daycare that we are considering. They charge $75 a day. How's that rate for the area?

This is my first baby and I am completely clueless about this, so any suggestions/ help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Irish,

Check out this website. It is a list of local licensed providers. You just have to put in your city. It gives you great info! It lists what hours the providers work and often their costs. In terms of cost I think its depends on what you can afford. I think $75 a day is high, but you will find a huge range of prices for infants. Does the $75 a day include formula? Diapers?

Location, Location, Location. For 3 days/week, we were paying $100/day in Braintree, and that was on the cheaper side compared to the other centers in the area.

I am looking in the Dorchester area. I have heard $65-75 a day is average around here. It's high but I guess it's the city life. Stinks for us!
