Hi there,

 I saw your response in the post below about CCP in Moon and wanted to ask you a question.  (I dont' get on here during the day and figured you may not see it if I responded in that post.)  Anyways, we're planning on going to CCP in Moon and I have an apt to meet with Dr. Miller just to get a feel for the place.  I saw that you mentioned Dr. Miller and Dr. Jewel in your post, would you recommend one over the other?  I hadn't heard anything about any of them, so I just went with whatever doctor was available at the time I needed, and that happened to be Dr. Miller.   I appreciate your input, its nice to hear that you were pleased with them.  Also, do you happen to know if you could be seen at another office if needed?  My parents live closer to the Wexford office, and if he would happen to be sick while with them, this would be convenient.

    Glad you paged me...you're right, I probably would've missed it if you just answered in the other thread.  :)

    I really liked Dr. Miller.  We met her from the practice first when she came to see us in the hospital.  After that, we saw Dr. Jewell in the NICU a few times, and I just really liked her for some reason...so, I scheduled appointments with her when available.  But, we did see Dr. Miller a time or two in there and she was really nice, too.  I felt very comfortable with both.

    I'll tell you what I really loved about Dr. Jewell...  I felt like she went above and beyond sometimes.  Like, we were having a lot of trouble breastfeeding (due to Parker being a preemie, etc.)...and I went to an ENT to see about getting Parker's frenulum cut.  Well, the doc didn't recommend the procedure, but instead, recommended that I stop nursing and just give Parker a bottle of either breastmilk or formula, whatever I wanted.  I didn't know this, but he sent a letter to Dr. Jewell saying that he saw us for the evaluation and what his recommendations were.  Well, she called me after reading the letter to ask if I had stopped breastfeeding.  I didn't stop...and she continued to encourage breastfeeding, as she knew that is what I wanted for Parker.  I just thought she was great with that.  She helped me find a place to get a pump at a good price, and even showed me hers during a visit (she has a son that is 4 months older than Parker).

    Anyway...  I know Dr. Jewell works out of the Wexford and Moon offices.  If you look it up online, you can see the list of docs at each place.  I would bet you could see each practice with no problem...especially since they are "shared" in terms of days for some of the docs.

    If it makes you feel any better...I actually considered staying with that practice and making the 50 minute drive each time we would need to go to the doc just because of how much I liked that practice.  :)  GL!  And let me know how it goes.  If you ever see Dr. Jewell, tell her that Parker said hi!  :)

    Thanks so much for taking the time to respond!  I'm glad to hear you liked them both.  I like that they have long hours and are even open on Saturdays.  My apt is march 29th, I'll def let you know how it goes.
