No joke!....NPR:Breast Milk Ice Cream A Hit At London Store. "In an interview for British TV, store founder Matt O'Connor says, "It's pure, it's natural, it's organic, and it's free range ? and if it's good enough for our kids, it's good enough to use in our ice cream."

I think it's sad that breastmilk is being fed to people who don't need it, when there are so many babies who truly benefit from it.

(To be honest, it totally grosses me out. But I'm happy that I can also think of an intellectual reason why it's not ok.:))

They are definitely not doing it for organic earth-mama reasons. They are doing it for over-the-top Lady-Gaga-esque campy reasons....see this article.

This part I don't get: "Victoria works with women who have problems breast feeding their babies. She said she believes that if adults realise how tasty breast milk actually is, new mothers will be more willing to breast feed their own newborns."

I HIGHLY doubt a Mom is not breastfeeding her baby because she doesn't think it's "tasty" enough...good lord!

That's seriously over-estimating the power of your own product there. Ice cream is awesome, but it can't cure the blind.

I have tasted breast milk. I wasnt a fan of the taste. sorry, I know the boys loved it but they had never tasted anything but so what do they know!

There's a gal (over on the East Coast, I think) who bakes things with her breastmilk and sells it at the farmer's market. It's crazy. Why not donate it to babies instead?
