Elective ultrasound places??

So we're thinking we might go in for an elective ultrasound to determine gender and get a little peak at the baby.

Did anyone else here do that and where did you go?

So far, I've found Bella Angel Imaging in Maple Grove, and Enlightened 4D Imaging and Photography in Bloomington.

Anyone been there?  Or anywhere else you would recommend?

Re: Elective ultrasound places??

  • we used bella and the owner is very nice and makes it a pleasant experience. i would probably go back to her in the future. its cozy room and she makes everyone feel really comfortable. the only drawback i had was she isnt as experienced as i would have hoped.. and early sneak peak would be better for her i think cause the baby is in full view at a small age. as our guy got bigger seemed harder for her to get good shots(even in the range they say is best) but she had some good deals so its worth a shot if you lived close

  • We also used Bella when I was preggo with DD. They were great! The won't do an ultrasound until you have had your 20 week one at the dr. They have to protect themselves from liability, and also want to ensure that their clients are getting prenatal care.

    Really?

Hmm... that might make a big difference.

I looked at their facebook, and it looked like a lot of people were commenting about having ultrasounds earlier than 20 weeks.

Not true...I went  to Bella Angel at 15 weeks and had an AMAZING time! The whole family was there infact :) Check out my gender pic from our visit! They knock $90 off your follow-up visit (27-33 weeks) too..so it only costs $40 for the gender ultrasound if you average in the discount. After I went..3 other girlfriends went and had great experiences revealing gender :)

  • My friend went to Bella and while the experience was great, they told them the wrong gender.

    Just an FYI.
