1st Trimester

Anyone else wake up in the middle of the night starving?!

This definitely didn't happen when I was pregnant with DS.  I wake up in the middle of the night starving almost every night.  I keep snacks by my bedside and will usually have a banana or nutrigrain bar when the urge hits.  But it just doesn't seem normal to me.  With DS, I could wake in the morning and have a bowl of cereal then be fine.  This time, it's something in the middle of the night, something as soon a I wake up...THEN a bowl of cereal.  I feel like such a pig. :( Tell me I am not alone!

  • This was happening to me very early on.  I would wake up with my stomach hurting and rumbling for a snack!

It lasted a couple of weeks (and several pounds) but around weeks 10/11, I started feeling normal (somewhat anyways!).

  • Oh I do! I wake up to pee at about the same time every night, sometime between 2am and 4am. And every time I can't fall back asleep right away because either I'm starving or I'm super nauseated!

I'm sure it's normal. Just another one of those great and strange pregnancy symptoms.

  • Yes! This was so me last night! I had a big dinner and was stuffed. Then 2 hours later I'm laying in bed and my stomach feels completely empty! I was so hungry! I was to tired to get up so just fell asleep eventually, but couldn't beleive I was so hungry so soon after eating!

  • I have been going to sleep around 9pm pretty consistently the last 2 months and around 10pm I am SO hungry I have to eat some crackers or a piece of bread. It's normal.
