Hey ladies,
Looking for some help here. My DD2 has always loved being worn (and I love wearing her, esp. with DD1 to watch too). But in the last several weeks she's done some bigtime protesting - she just wants to push with her feet and stand anytime I put her in my "wearers" of choice (Moby and Mai Tai). I personally don't care for slings as much, although I have a peanut shell and a ring sling and I use them from time to time. So this pretty much just leaves us with the Bjorn, which DH loves and of which I'm not a big fan.
I tried putting her in the Moby with her legs out and she seemed really uncomfortable, same for the Mai Tai. I think she's stuck in between the curled up legs point and the legs out point, but not comfy either way.
Any suggestions?
Re: Babywearing expert mamas needed - LO keeps standing in the wrap/mai tai/etc
At 3 months she is definitely ready for legs out in a wrap (you can do legs out from birth. Try folding the wrap over more so that her legs aren't as wide apart. Also, make sure she's in a good seat with her knees slightly higher than her bum and the wrap out to her knees.
As for the mei tai, depending on the brand and your DD's size you may need to scrunch the bottom in some so she doesn't have to "spread" so much. You can tie a ribbon around the base (right above the waist band) to cinch it in a bit making a smaller seat for her.
