Now that the nursery is officially emptied out, I am going to deep clean it. Then, we'll start moving furniture in: a chair/ottomon, bookshelf, and the crib, which needs to be put together.
We are also meeting with our parish priest tomorrow morning to discuss baptism.
We are organizing all the clothes we were just given and buying a mattress. After that, our nursery is pretty much set until the baby shower! We have painted, built all the furniture, organized it like we want, and now it'll just be set until the gifts start coming in and we have to organize and put all of them away!
We started painting the nursery last weekend and still have more to do this weekend. Gotta finish up the walls and then paint inside the closet and trim.
Can't wait until this part is over! Then we'll be able to put the wall decal up and put the furniture in place.
Traveling about 1.5 hours away to shop for our LO. We're tired of the stores here where we live, so we're taking a mini road trip in the morning to a different mall with different variety!
I was sick last weekend and didn't do anything baby related the weekend before so I am hoping to get back on track this weekend.
I am planning to finish the curtains and get them hung, I want to convince DH that he should actually secure the bookcase to the wall this weekend because then I can move the books onto it and I have DIY art project that I want to start working on.
The only thing I know we're doing is putting together the rest of the furniture for the nursery. I was also thinking about getting the bedding even though it's on my registry.
Ours is painted and the furniture is assembled, and the mattress arrived last week. DH installed the blinds this week, so we're set with the big stuff! He'll be working on the artwork soon, and I've started looking for wall decals.
Been away from theBump for a while, getting active again for all the good advice
Well as im typing my have my FIL and a few others are laying hardwood floors upstairs in the room, and then this weekend I have to pick out paint colors. We already have the crib but it needs to be set up but we will do that after the room is painted. Oh Im also finishing my crocheted blanket my working on
Cleaning the basement that DH never got around too . We're registering next weekend so we'll pick out the paint color then when holding swatches to the bedding at BRU and then the real stuff begins!
Thanks to yet another huge dumping of snow, I'm stuck in the house today and working on the nursery boarder which will be made up of animals like the ones below. So far I've added turtles and koalas to the collection today.
Tomorrow I'm thinking we'll move our kitty's litter box to it's new spot and scrub the hardwood floors in the baby's room. Then it will officially be nothing but a nursery!
Painting this weekend! Or at least starting to.....my husband's pet project is painting one of the walls in a chevron pattern that is going to take forever. So glad he doesn't hate me for making him do it!!
I got the fabric swatches I ordered from Etsy last week and now have a few paint chips up (we are only painting one wall since it has several patches from removing a hanging shelf). My goal is to pick a color this weekend and get the room completely cleared out by the end of the month.

Those are cute! What are yours made out of? How are you making them?
We're purchasing the primer/paint for the nursery (painting next weekend) and we're having BIL/SIL/Niece over for dinner and seeing if their monitor has any feedback issues

Thanks! They're made with an electronic cutting machine called a Cricut. It has tons of different cartridges with all sorts of themes and fonts. They're just made of paper. Then we'll adhere them to the wall somehow. We're still not certain of how to do that though because we live in an old house with plaster walls and want to make sure they stick up there nice and secure.
We are attending the childbirth class at our hospital this weekend. All our baby stuff is in boxes/leaned against walls/down in the basement because we are trying to find a house to buy before she gets here. So, no nursery stuff for awhile.
Well DH is going to try and finish up painting the walls and the ceiling of the nursery before my family comes into town to visit! They wont be in till 9, so that give him plenty of time! Then the weekend after next we will be getting the carpet installed and registering on the 12th! Ill be soooo happy once the flooring gets put in, then i will be able to start the fun stuff like getting furniture put in, setting the bedding up and organizing his clothes and stuff! Yay i cant wait!
My friend is finally moving out this weekend! As son as she's out, Sunday we are painting her room. When her room's finished, we can clear out the nursery but that will probably have to wait until next weekend. Other than that, we don't have a lot of other baby-related plans. I'm going to try to find time to register for prenatal classes this weekend.

ahh. I'm a scrapbooker so I know of the Cricut! Hmm. I don't have any good ideas on how you could adhere them. The only thing I can think of is attaching them to something like a thin piece of wood and hanging that on the wall.

I just bought our bedding, even though it's on our registry. I'm keeping it there too - then if someone gets it for us, I can return the set that I bought. This way, though, if it's discontinued in the next couple of months, I still have it. Plus, I want to use it to go to the fabric store and pick out fabric to make curtains, so I need to have it on-hand, and our shower isn't going to be until late May, so I don't want to have to try and do crafts with a huge belly!

That was one idea we had, something like a chair rail. We also thought of trying to sand down the wall just where they'll go (but gave that a thumbs down) or trying to find a heavy duty wall paper paste. I'm hoping to get some good advice from somewhere like Sherwin-Williams.
Furniture was just delivered. Picked up a glider from a coworker this morning and am just waiting on DH to get home and add it to the nursery. Heading out to pick up the mattress out in a few. Need to decide what artwork i want and the nursery will be officially complete.

Awww...thank you! Definitely my favorite one! I couldn't even believe that was us when I first saw the proof online. haha
My baby-related tasks this weekend are attending Bradley class tomorrow morning, working to clear out the room we'll be using for the baby, starting a registry now that my ILs have set a date for my shower (and it's soon - April 10!), and maybe checking out a maternity consignment store because the clothes I bought at 9 weeks along just aren't cutting it anymore!
DH is finishing up the crown molding this weekend! I painted last weekend and we have all our furniture. I hate that I have to wait until April for my shower...I want to get everything set up NOW!
Today I am scrubbing the walls and then spackling them. Hoping to paint next weekend.
Hopefully ripping out the ugly carpet that is in that room so MH can put in the hardwood (after he paints).
I got a glider last night from my ILs! and MIL said, 'This one will match the furniture that you are going to get' She has been talking to MH about the set we picked out, so I'm thrilled that we might not have to buy it!.. back to the glider, I want to put it together now! but it is safer in the back until the painting and flooring is done.boo.

We are going to Buy Buy Baby this weekend to order our glider (Best Chair Tryp) and start our registry. We'll probably start our BRU registry as well.
I'm ordering the crib today -- we're going with BabyMod Lily 4-in-1 convertible crib.
