Cincinnati Babies

Yay! No more purees....

It's official, we are off of purees :) Katie is eating table foods for everything and its wonderful. My MIL even served thanksgiving dinner last night for BIL's birthday and she ate everything- turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoe casserole, and a roll. I have a miss piggy :)

She is also clapping, playing pat-a-cake (even the rolling), and waing good-bye and hello. It's amazing the skills they learn so quick. Maybe she is learning this before she crawls :) Oh, and I even think she is saying kitty. Anytime the cat goes near her she makes the "s" sound. We always say kitties.

  • Impressive! That is awesome! Way to go, Katie! Maybe she'll be one of those babies that takes forever to crawl, then crawls for two days and gets up and walks, ha! That is how it was with Leah rolling. Took forever, and then she did it, and the next day, she was rolling all over the house. You never know!

Have fun with all the table foods!

  • That is awesome! I can't believe how fast they grow up.  It seems like they learn something new everyday and it is so fascinating to see the world through their eyes!

    Way to go, Katie!

  • Way to go Katie!  That is exciting!  Aleck eats tons of table food now but I am still giving him purees also for a little while.  That is awesome that she will eat lots!  Good job on all the new skills also Katie!  You are such a big girl!
Our kids are 19mths apart and we LOVE it!!

  • That's great!  I'm wondering, does she feed herself all that or do you still feed her?  Adah wants to eat only table food, but she only wants to feed herself.  Obviously, somethings are just too difficult for her to feed herself.  Like this morning, she was trying to pick up slimy banana pieces and I just felt sorry for even letting her try.

  • Nevermind, I read your reply to the other post.  Thanks for the tip about the chrushed cereal- I will try that.

  • That's awesome. I can't believe she's eating so well. Good for Katie and you!

I love that age. They start doing so many new things.
