I have my second u/s tomorrow to look for a heartbeat, but we'll only be 6w2d. I'm hopeful that we'll see that flicker, but it seems a little early to me and I'm nervous we're going to spend some time in limbo, with a heartbeat showing up later. Did any of you have a u/s on or around 6w2d? Did you see the ever-coveted heartbeat? Thanks!
(By the way, I'm so sorry I haven't been around lately to cheer you guys on. My internet has been down on and off for days (and I've been insanely busy anyway) so I haven't been able to check on anyone. I hope there's lots of happy news around here and some new faces too!)

I just wanted to say gl and hope you see it! I have my first h/b u/s tomorrow morning at 7wk2d....I wanted to wait until we would definitely see it and am so nervous there will be nothing!
GL!
Mine was at 6w4d and we saw and heard hb's. Baby A was 121 & baby b was 126.
GL!!!
We had a u/s at 6w3d, and we were able to see the hb. They warned us before it, though, that it could very well be too early. GOOD LUCK!!!

"When it comes to sleeping, whatever your baby does is normal. If one thing has damaged parents enjoyment of their babies, it's rigid expectations about how and when the baby should sleep." ~ James McKenna, Ph.D., Mother Baby Behavioral Sleep Center, University of Notre Dame
These posts give me hope! Our first u/s isn't 'til November 10th, I'll be 6w6d and I was afraid we wouldn't have much hope to see the heart beat!
Thanks for sharing everyone!
At 5w6d I had my first u/s and we saw the gestational sac in my uterus, the fetal pole and yolk sack, as well as a slow heartbeat (it probably had just started beating).
I don't know how much of a difference it makes but my beta was over 10,000 at that point (I think the doctor said the higher it is the more they are likely to see or something).
I would say you've got a good chance of seeing the h/b but if you don't it is definitely nothing to worry about since the heart starts to beat any time during the fifth week or the sixth week.
Best of luck for an incredible 1st u/s!!!!!
