BWing in the winter

I forgot that I really don't need to wear a coat. Sheesh, I'm so sweaty!

What do other cold-weather BW mamas wear when they go out for a walk? DD is in her winter coat and hat, and her boots to keep her feet toasty warm, but what should I wear? I wore my coat today, and I don't think I'll do that again.

Re: BWing in the winter

  • A light jacket maybe?  It's the wind that can be the problem for me...

Another BWing in the winter question:  When I'm taking DS out of his carseat, putting him into the Moby,  it can be cold for that few minutes (then he's warm and wrapped up inside my coat).  I try to do it quickly, but I don't want him to get cold. Any suggestions?  Also what about putting him back in the carseat - I have blankets and stuff, but it's all SO COLD!   Going from being toasty warm and wrapped to being stuffed into a cold carseat.  Any tips?  (Sorry to highjack your post btw)

  • When we wore the Moby, like grocery shopping, we'd grab a blanket from the car on our way out and bundle her up in it and make a run for the store. Once in the warm store, I'd put her in the Moby. We'd do the same thing on our way out, and bundle her up in the carseat with the warm blanket.

  • I went out today with a sweatshirt and baby in the Beco and it was perfect ( we had no wind today though and temperatures around -3C).
