DSQ diapers too bulky - what other pre-folds are out there?

We originally purchased DSQ pre-folds and ended up not using them because they were so bulky. We ended up using the gerber 3 ply birdseye prefolds which worked great but now my son is getting too big for them and we need something larger.

I already purchased the larger size thirsties and we have been using those for a couple of weeks. I can't seem to find a pre-fold diaper I like. Gerber only makes the diapers in one size and all other pre-folds seem to be these DSQ style with the color thread on the edge. Please tell me there are other pre-fold options that are a bit thinner?

I am not interested in doing AIO because I already have all of my thirsties and I like doing the pre-fold method. But am I out of luck on finding a thinner diaper, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg??

Have you tried the GMD prefolds? I have both GMD and DSQ diapers and i always reach for the GMD's first. they are almost the same size but my GMD's are less bulky and softer. I actually just ordered another dozen infant prefolds because I love them so much. They are only 24 dollars per dozen.

I use diaper rite prefolds. They have worked really well for Lo. I haven't had any leaks and they aren't too bulky.

little lions has some thinner diapers they had fewer layers then the DSQ PF they sell 4x6x4 while most are 4x8x4 I have no idea how you make it work with the gerber ones they didn't hold enough for us to use them though we have some they are more like the infant size PF's we did use them when it was laundr day
