Going to the store is a pain.

We are completely out of food and I am hungry.  I feel like this entire pregnancy I walk the isles and nothing sounds great so I put a bunch of random things in my cart.  I dread going today, but I have to.  What do you get?  Maybe your suggestions will make it easier!

  • I have the same problem you do, but my husband has to eat so I just plan out a menu for the week that doesn't sound gross to me and make the list from that, so I have a game plan and it minimizes the wandering.

  • Yesterday I got cheese, oreos, strawberries and some dinner stuff for DH. I'm big into snacking right now... and frozen pizza.
  • Today DH and I went to Costco and sampled some spinach ravioli. I ended up picking it up and having it for dinner with a big serving of salad and garlic bread. I was only able to eat 3 raviolis with the salad and bread but it was delish!

  • Lots of fruits and veggies, frozen fruit to make smoothies, yogurt, all kinds of cheese, whole wheat crackers, cheerios or a high fiber cereal, chicken breast, trail mix. Now I'm hungry!
  • I meal plan every week, always...for dinners, at least. But now that I can't eat large amounts at one time, I'm buying more snacks. I buy organic salsa and tortilla chips... cherry tomatoes, avocados, bell peppers, baby carrots, and other veggies to cut up and snack on. Apples and oranges. Triscuits and cream cheese.. bagels... string cheese. I get Greek yogurt w/ blueberries.... and a couple things of "junk food" (whatever sounds good at the time... I just really try to balance it out with "good" stuff, too.) Let me see if I can think of anything else.... pistachios, cashews, and/or almonds... pretzel sticks... Frozen fruit (like mango, raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries... for smoothies and/or just defrosting and snacking on.) Been craving breakfast food a lot too... so I make omlettes with lots of veggies and cheese... waffles w/ fresh and/or frozen fruit... lol.
