T&P are appreciated if you believe. I just went in for my 30 week appointment. I saw the oncall OB as I have been having serious BH for about a week. The only way they subside is to pretty much do nothing. So - she checked my cervix and I am 50-70% effaced already. She is sending me for an u/s in a couple hours. I had a LEEP done a year ago, after DD was born - so three u/s showed everything was nice and long. The last u/s was before my BH started though. Luckily my cervix is still closed.
She told me I need to stop working (can work from home if work allows), that my DD needs to stay in daycare so I can rest, I will start taking Ibuprofen to stop PTL.
She did say that sometimes what she feels is shorter then what is inside - so I am praying that the u/s shows that. Regardless - we will have a plan laid out for me later this afternoon when we see u/s results.
Sounds like I just switched to high risk. And yes - I am in tears.....I was expecting an early baby (DD was born at 38 weeks), but not a preemie. I know it is not a for sure thing yet, but my mind is getting the best of me.
Thanks for listening. I am so sad and scared.

Thoughts and prayers to both of you. Hope you both can take it easy and bake those buns a little longer. ::hugs:: Keep us posted!
Oh my goodness. T&P's for sure! I really hope your u/s shows you are not as effaced as your doctor thinks.
Good luck and please keep us posted.

Did they do an fFn? That test, if negative, is really accurate on ensuring that you won't go into labor in the next two weeks. When positive, it's less conclusive.
Try if you can to think positively. I was 80% effaced and 1 cm dilated at 30 weeks last time and I made it no further until my induction. I was on bed rest and was taking nifedipine every 4 hours to slow down the contractions until 36 weeks. Bed rest can work wonders!! I've heard so many stories like mine so I hope that they will give you some hope that you will make it to term.
Hang in there and lots of hugs!
