So I LIVED in my Target (Gillian and O'Malley brand, or something like that) nursing tanks for about the first year of Max's life. I wore holes in the dang things so am getting a new batch for this baby.
The ones I had were all the shelf bra style. In looking online, it looks like most of the fun colors and the ones that come in "long" are the style with the holes around the breasts, as opposed to the open shelf (does that make any sense?). I'm not sure if that style would be as comfortable. If you've had that kind, or both, how did you like it?
Re: Random Target nursing tank q
I have some of the new and 2 old style. I love them, but I dont notice much of a difference in them from my old. I have 8 total; 2 white, 2 black, 2 brown and 2 blue. I use the blue for sleeping.
I am selling a nwot glamourmom nursing tank, this weekend.
Hmmm, mixed reviews. Thanks for sharing your experiences! Maybe I will try just one of the new style and get a few of the shelf ones. Lynchie, they do still have the shelf ones, just only in black, white and I think gray still, and not in the long.
Caldwell, did you not like the GlamourMom one? I haven't tried those.
Needed that chuckle today. Thanks Justine!
Excellent suggestion, why didn't I think of that? After all, it will be summer and hot outside.
Ha, love it! I will say, DH loved that shelf style too, such easy access.
I ordered it when still pg with W. I feel too busty for it, it is a large. I tried it on once and liked the Target ones better. And never pulled it out again, until today to price for the sale. I lucked out and Target had brown/blue on clearance so I scored those and love them.
I got Gillian and O'Malley at the end of my pregnancy lived in them & some of my DH's boxer briefs the last month of it (It was June). And I wear one everyday STILL. Mine are the ones with the holes & I have no problem with them nursing or pumping. And DH likes the easy access too plus when I start to leak during "mommy-daddy time" DH just flips the cover back up. I have no lines showing when I wear shirts over them but I do wear nursing pads so that may help. I just love my tops! Only problem is some of them don't completely cover the one boob (as most ladies I have one bigger than the other & pregnant/nursing made the size difference worst!) so sometimes I have a gap of a few centimeters between the circle fabric & the flap. But I think that is a mess up on the tanks. Like they were oopses cuz it is only two of them.

It's a GIRL! Lydia Marie!
when I bought more when R was born, Target only had the kind without the holes and I hated them! When all were clean and I got to choose, I ALWAYS chose the hole kind. ( i agree it has the stripper look though!)
My favorite tank of all time though is a La Leche League ribbed one from the Pavillion store. (also available at the LLL website) It is super tight, almost girdle like when you first put it on, it has removable straps, same color as the tank as well as a clear set. But you can wear it strapless too! It's that snug. It held 'em up the best. It's a lifter upper style though and the pads in them got Bunched when washing, so I finally just took them out, but I LOVED it and highly recommend getting at least one. It is also good for wearing by itself. It is that good!
I MUCH preferred the kind with holes! I have some of both here now...I have them listed to sell this weekend, they would probably to to big for you, but if you wanted to try one on just to see how it feels to help you in your ordering at Target online, let me know and you can stop by!
Yay! I hope to score some nursing tops this weekend
I still wear mine sometimes too, would wear them more if they didn't have holes!
Thanks Lauri! My current Target ones are small, I think. Sounds like I need to visit the Prov store also.
I've tried both and prefer the ones with holes. I've got a wide band and a large cup size, and I find that the ones with holes provide more support. I never wore it under a shirt, though, unless it was a flannel or a sweater. Never occurred to me to wear it under a tshirt or blouse.
I still wear mine every now and then when i'm hot in the summer and need a lightweight tank with bra to wear around the house.
I did notice that the lansinoh stained the tank, though.
I'm always in the minority here but I hate the Target tanks. I got them with Harper and even the largest size didn't fit right and rode up all the time exposing my stomach and were SO uncomfortable (and I'm not as small as I was, but I still wear around a M or L in most tops but even the XL in these were stretching it).
Anyway, I got Glamourmom tanks this time around and LOVE them, and they have the holes but I just pull that aside and use them like a shelf bra and it works just fine - so if you get the newer Target ones with the holes you should be able to do that
