I've been lurking on these boards a long time (dealt with infertility) and now that I have my BFP I'd like to start a discussion I've seen on other birth month boards;
Sure we all have to get through the hot summer months pregnant, but what do you like about a November due date? Why is it perfect timing for you?
Congratulations and H&H 9 months to everyone!
Re: What's great about a November due date?
My EDD is 11/2. That will be perfect because it's just enough time to get into a routine with the baby before we head to my parent's house for the holidays. It will also be great because all of my immediately family will be there, so they will all get to meet the baby if they haven't already. It will also be nice in terms of maternity leave because it will be slower at my work around the holidays so I won't feel bad for leaving all my work with my coworkers.
On the other hand it will be tricky because my sister gets married on 10/29 & I'm the matron of honor. I cannot miss her wedding, I would be so so upset. I will hold this baby with my legs crossed if I have to !!
My BFP Chart
I'm glad not to have to worry about a due date around Thanksgiving or Christmas so I don't have to deal with ILs with an excuse not to leave, haha!
Also, I'm actually pretty excited about being in the "cute" pregnant stage in the summer. All of those flowy summer dresses will look adorable with a not-too-massive bump!
Agreed!!
My BFP Chart
I agree with being off for the Holidays. And also all the cute dresses for spring and summer.
Fall is also my favorite time of the year, so this will just add to the excitement
Being off for the holidays. Having a fall baby (fall is my favorite).
Just finally being pregnant is the best part though!
Like a lot of other moms, I will be so excited to wear maxi dresses in the summer with my big ol' bump! Plus, I can be a big pregnant lady at the MN State Fair (in August) and be able to walk around and eat a ton (cheese curds, anyone?). We also didn't want to travel this year for Christmas or Thanksgiving so this is a good reason for everyone to come to us.
SO excited!
I have to echo everyone in saying it's going to be amazing to have a little peanut for the holidays! Baby being concieved, born, first Thanksgiving, first Christmas all in one year is pretty cool. What a difference a year makes!
I'm excited that I'll be able to show off my bump during the cute stages, through spring and summer....but then it'll be time to bundle up and hide again in the oh-so-big phase, ha!
November is a pretty mellow time as far as working goes on the ranch here, so I won't be missing much, and DH will be able to be around to help me more because he won't be quite so busy with farming fields and such.
BFP 2.19.11 - Missed miscarriage, April 2011
I am so excited about having the holidays off work with a new little peanut! Also having a cute little bump through the summer. I live in Texas so I really didn't want to be 9 months pregnant in the hot summer months.

love it! Where did you find it?
I had a friend who bought one and had it on this past October. I just searched the internet for "skeleton pregnancy shirt" or "skeleton pregnancy costume" and it came up with many sites that sell it. Here's just one site: https://gladditudesbumptees.spreadshirt.com/mty103
If you know you're having a girl -- the skeleton has a bow on it's skull!!! hahaha!

My thoughts on a Nov. birth mirror most everyones. I'm not going to be super huge during the hottest two months of the year. i get to wear cute sundresses. The baby will help keep me warm in the cooler fall weather. But the best part is just having my little one in the world
Though it is nice that I don't have to worry about whether to make plans over the holidays or not (in case we had to you know deliver a baby or what not :P )
Happy early birth day all you November baby's hiding in mommas tummy!
My favorite thing is a constant reminder of how fun our Valentine's Day was!!
Seriously, though, my office closes for Thanksgiving week, and again for two weeks at Christmas, since most of our staff is from all over the world and they take the time off anyway. I see it as some bonus maternity leave since I don't get any. Plus, since all the family will want to see the baby, I know the kids will have the biggest and best Christmas ever! Andplus, how freaking cute are Christmas baby clothes!?!?!?
LOL, I am SO excited for the State Fair! I am already dreaming about the food.... Ugh, yummmm!!
How did this year old post get bumped when it was on a different board? So weird...
but anyways, I like Nov. because it allows me 2-3 solid months of getting the hang of things before my busy season kicks in at work. Perfect timing
I will say the best "things" about a November due date for me is:
1) my mom and I share our birthdays on November 10th, could be a possibility we have this LO around then
2) My birthstone is citrine or topaz, my daughter's is ruby for july, my hubbys is ruby for july too. the nov baby will help us even out :-)
3) Having the 2 biggest holiday months off to be with the new LO and my family!
