Okay so I went to the restroom and have a dark brown bleeding, very, very light so far but I also have a very slight cramp. Anyone else experience this during early pregnancy? I am really worried. I have my first dr. appt tomorrow.
Brown spotting is considered normal - try not to worry too much - but you should still tell your doctor tomorrow.
I had a really scary red bleeding episode a few weeks ago (accompanied by terrible cramps) I was certain I was having a m/c but it turned out to be nothing.
My doctor told me that brown, red, and pink spotting are considered normal unless it's very heavy (like soaking a pad), has clots, or you are having painful cramping as well.
I'm sure it's nothing - but I know how scary it can be. Try not to worry - and good luck at your appt tomorrow.
No bleeding is considered normal (according to my OB. Interesting how they have varying opinions on this). Common, but not normal. Make sure you call your OB to keep him/her informed.
I've had bleeding and spotting with 3 of my 4 pregnancies. I'm not trying to scare you, but a trace amount of brown spotting was the only indication I had of my missed m/c. However, I also spotted brown, pink, red, and had full-on bleeding with clots (sorry, TMI) with this baby and everything was fine. So make an appointment and try to take it easy.
Big hugs- I know how stressful it is to spot during pregnancy.

I had the same kind of thing. They brought me in for my first u/s and everything was fine. I attributed it to lifting some heavy stuff earlier in the week. Good luck! I know your heart stops when you see stuff like that, so I won't even say try to relax.

I had brown spotting from weeks 7-11 along with mild cramps. It turned out to be nothing and the baby's heartbeat was strong all along. I wouldn't worry, but definitely tell your doctor so they can confirm that it is nothing.

I have been told it is normal. I had some very slight spotting before 9 wks when I was pregnant with Justin. I had a similar experience this summer, but that pregnancy was abnormal and terminated. I don't think you can tell anything by spotting alone......I agree with the others, call your doctor today and see what they say. They may be able to prepare better for your visit tomorrow, or might want to see you today. Good luck and hugs.
I had this - in fact, I had a lot of bleeding one day about 11 weeks (not brown) and I FLIPPED out needless to say and I called the doc and they had me stay off my feet and come in the next day...everything was fine, but then I did spot off and on the rest of the month or 2 and they always told me darker blood was better than bright red. Definitely call the doc though just to be sure everything's ok.
I had brown spotting as well a week or two before my first 8 week appt. ?The doc sent me for an ultrasound just in case, but everything was fine. ?I think the rule of thumb is as long as it is not bright blood you shouldn't panic, but still let your doc know.?
When it's brown blood, it's usually older and "dried up" inside. I had this with my pregnancy that resulted in Brandon, and my doc told me it was probably my uterus cleansing itself once and for all from my earlier m/c. (I did NOT have a d&c).
FWIW, when I did m/c, I had bright red blood for a few days before I dropped any clots. Once I dropped clots, much of the m/c was complete.
