oh wait... this post is about what makes ourselves a trashbag parent...not others. Hmm, I give LO a little bit of rice cereal in his formula @ 2.5 months to help with reflux even though it promotes obesity.

I laugh when she starts to get upset. Her face is just so cute right before an all out sh!t storm. Its my favorite face of her's right now. Except, of course, the smiles which make me swoon. Oh and her nicknames are Fart Goblin and Skidmark.
I give up trying to get a ticker. I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome. Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself. Hmmm. How about...
"It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?" - A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
I put him in front of the TV every morning for 15-20 minutes so that I can get his bottles ready for daycare.
I don't change his crib sheet every time he spits up (the kid has reflux, people!) - I just clean the spot with a wipe and continue on.
I don't wipe during every middle of the night diaper change (he only pees overnight). If he's screaming his head off, I just put a clean diaper on and get him snapped back up as fast as possible so that he can eat and go back to sleep.
I feel like there have to be other things that I'm just not thinking of...
ETA - I do call him Farts McGee. And obviously I let him lay on our lazy @ss pitbull. They both love it.

I don't either. If she's sleepy after her bottle I'd rather not shock her back to full alertness with a cold wipe and just rediaper.
When she wants to wake up at 6AM(not for a feeding, just because she wants to be awake), I bring her in bed with me and stick the binky in her mouth to make her go back to sleep just for one.more.hour(or a couple more during the weekends). Hey, it works!

I use the vibrations on my newborn napper as a snooze alarm. When he starts to fuss in the middle of the night, I can turn the vibrations on and get another 15 minutes of sleep. Works like a charm. Also, if he's sleeping in his car seat when we get back from a drive somewhere, I let him sleep in the car seat until he wakes up.
He gets this extreme frowny face that makes me giggle. I really want a photo of it but he only makes it when he's mad at me and I can't quite let him fuss that long deliberately.
During a particularly fussy week, I asked DH, "What if this is who he is? Maybe this is his personality. Maybe our son's just an ***." ETA: A hole is the word I tried to type there.
If her pacifier drops on the floor, I pop it in my mouth to "clean" it, and give it back to her. H saw me do this and almost passed out.
The only thing that I have to say about this is that I have read in a Parenting book that this is a bad habit because as of right now there is no or very little bacteria in LO's mouths since they don't have teeth and by doing this you are transferring the bacteria from your mouth to theirs so its not good to do.
If she fell sleep within the past 20mins and then pooped in her sleep I'll sometimes wait to change her because I know that if I wake her to change her then she will want to eat again and sometimes i just don't feel like nursing her again.

If mine doesn't wake up from being wet, I change him in the morning. I've also been known to put two diapers on him. If it makes me less of a trashbag, I wouldn't do this if he ever had a rash.
I also dropped my cell phone on his head one time.

I do this too.
I also prop him up in his bobby after he eats every morning so he can talk to the ceiling fan while I scramble to get ready for work.
I don't change his clothes every time he spits up all over them. I just wipe him off and we go on our way. (He has reflux...if I changed his clothes every time he spit up, we'd be doing laundry all day long, every day.)
I let him fuss himself to sleep in his swing or his crib.
I don't go running for his door as soon as he starts crying.

If he falls asleep while feeding him in the middle of the night he sleeps on an incline instead of being burped. I also leave him in his boppy for an hour at a time to get things done.

All of these!!! Well except the whip cream in the mouth thingy! LOL...But I've been super tempted to share ice cream! I also put the choopies in my mouth when it falls on the floor!
I strapped her in her car seat and took her for a quick trip to drop something at the post office wearing nothing but a diaper today (it was in the 70's).
-I don't even pop the bink in my mouth if it falls on the floor. I just put it back in hers. She's my third. 'Nuff said.
-I don't change DD overnight.
-I forced DD to take a pacifier. I tried every brand available until there was one she'd keep in her mouth. My boys both loved their binkies and I couldn't deal with DD using ME as hers. Then I was bummed that she liked the ugliest brand out there.
-I put ridiculous headbands on her at every opportunity.

This totally made me LOL.
Sometimes I lay DS on the rug in the bathroom so I can shower.

I've dropped food on his head trying to eat while holding him... (I picked it off and ate it. What? It was a noodle. It was fine.)
